Imp everyone. Proving their stuff.

Crystal that sounds like my ability you copied..
.
That was my starting ability...
That's weird, because I targeted you N1, and saw you visit Oliverz
I targeted magma mater n1 and Oliverz n2.
I chose to steal abilities on both nights and both nights my abilities remained unchanged.
Oliverz: how many abilities do you have?
Crystalizedmire, why did you choose these targets?
You were frustrating to talk to and Oliverz was quieter than usual day1
usual? i dont have a usual, xD
also, Juice found You lying, while you keep blatantly rolefishing...

Again, please do not quote the entirety of large posts. You can make the quote, then remove whatever you don't want to quote before you finish your post.

That said.

i have mechanical confirmation that You are Town

Would you care to share what form this confirmation takes? I already thought Imp was town, going by her behavior, but this is good to hear.

Regarding 4MaskWolf, it's purely a Tonal Read, nothing too deep or that I could prove with anything to make it a clear, it's more just there vibe/energy/tone suggests them have a lot of WIM (Want it more).
Are we reading the same thread?

I'll explain my role for you, Imp. Each night I can extort another player. They must either give me an ability, or they will lose all abilities the next time a player surrenders an ability to me. The person I target learns I targeted them.
I'm using this ability on Max to try to confirm the phrasing of his (presumably one-shot) ability.

Wow.

So, I'm confused.

What night did you target Oliver?  What night did you target Max?  You said 'using' like it's something ongoing right now.

You... offered to use it on Tric 'tonight'.

I can use it on you tonight, if you'd like.

I wanna understand how it works better.

If you use it on Oliver who takes the risk of losing all if someone says yes, then you use it on Max who say also takes the risk of losing all if someone says yes, and then you offer it to Tric, and Tric says yes -

Do both Oliver and Max lose all their abilities, or is it JUST the last person in the chain at risk?

Also omg please never target me with anything.  If you're town and telling the truth then even without knowing anything about the rest of your role I'm terrified of you and think you're the scariest town role I've ever played beside, that Knightwing meme role can go fly because you are pit-of-fear scaphism or something.  Noooo not the boats!

But thank you for not targeting me or Vermilion yet and I hope you never do and omg egads and I don't like the way you use what may be townie lies, but I can learn to deal with that maybe.  No matter how scared I am, if you functionally are helping town and I can tell, I am very likely to want us both alive in the same game together.

In... your honor?  Um, yeah this.  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EbxkOntz2SA

And I'm that scared of you, but reminded as I rewatch it... you're not the one gonna split a seam laughin'.

And your targeting is not awful if you're town, kinda like potential redirect targeting, it's definitely not obviously likely anti-town-intended to me.

That dangerous 'humor' team around me's probably much more likely to include 4mask and maybe also AP.  Right at this second, Max, I'd use the double elim on those two, but that could be a mistake... I'm less concerned about it being a mistake and I'd let AP slip before 4mask, but that could be a mistake.  'Funny' if laughter marks a prime.

AP, take another close look at 4mask for me, wouldya?

How's D3 post(s) from 4mask feel to you, getting them townie vibes today too?  Are you in a private chat with 4mask that you're getting some of your read from?

I ate every single one of the nightkills, and Imp is town. I have reason to suspect that Oliver and AP are as well, due to the effects of Imp’s role.
For Clarity, I can confirm what Vermilion has said here.

I am under the belief that all four of us involved with this (Me, Imp, Oliver, Vermilion) are good.

So I will be using this to create a POE.

What makes you think that Oliverz is town?

I can confirm that I saw you visit me, and that you told me a joke.

I confirm there's something going on involving those three and me that could confuse some of them (who are not evil) into thinking all 4 of us must be good (especially if they confirm one of us is and know themself to be) and this could be usable by any evil among them.  I'm not confused about how they became part of that team, I know that it's not alignment restricted, there's nothing to keep evil from getting in.  I don't really want all the mech discussed because I think we have more than 1 anti-town faction (which may involve singles) so there could be anti-town that don't know anything about it yet and might wanna know, otherwise I'm not concerned about the details being shared.  But since there's probably under-informed evil ears listening, ugh.

If AP chooses to discuss the mech more widely, that's interesting and I sure can't stop him or anyone.

I'll explain my role for you, Imp. Each night I can extort another player. They must either give me an ability, or they will lose all abilities the next time a player surrenders an ability to me. The person I target learns I targeted them.

So if everyone chooses not to give you any abilities, you will never gain any abilities?

Unless you have a backup plan that strikes me as a bit of a design flaw.

Well, we know TricMagic was able to give at least 1 ability, based on TM and Max claims.  I have been very open about being able to give 1+ abilities.  So there are other answers.  Also, if he's town and targets a scum who refuses, then a town who accepts, he's just stripped a scum of all abilities; If the scum accepts it loses an ability and he could maybe persistently strip abilities from evil if he can find them well enough.  He could go back to another scum and repeat the strips if he can find them.  He can do it backwards too, and strip townies of abilities, benefiting himself and scum - he's not doing that obviously yet.

Magma, are you something that wins when you get X# of abilities?  I'm not sure how to advise you to answer presuming that's true; we have folks here who have purposefully voted open survivor claims (and me!  Who rarely lies, and was maybe specifically voted because I claimed I wasn't town - they didn't need me dead that's not scumhunting didn't even say they didn't believe me!!!! and died for that vote because Imp don't play that when Imp's survivor and can kill people voting open honest expects to help town Imp)...

So it may not be in your best interest to say yes even if it's true.  But I'm kinda open to as many wincons winning as possible, if we can do that safely, and I'm open to considering any wincon that isn't expressly anti-town (and town needs dead to win) as pro-town, it's all in the play.

What happens to people that target you, Magma? CM says she tried, and was seen targeting Oliver that night instead.  Do you know anything about why?  I'm afraid I try to give you an ability and you consume me entire, or close enough.  You 'feel wrong', your intentions and stuff.  The more I understand the more I'm likely to like it if what you tell me is compatible with my wincon, but if you need like 3 abilities to win, you're VERY much better off helping me understand that because I'm likely to encourage folks to maybe not target you or accept your stuff while we try to figure you out without me touching you (like win the game around you) or maaaaaybe kill you but I'm not sure about that.... the better I understand the more likely I beg a fellow townie to help confirm you're safe to target, then do more of my own checks, then start feeding you abilities when it doesn't hurt town for me to do so.

Imp being town isn't really news honestly.

- Crystalizedmire
- Oliverz144
- Magma Mater
- juicebox
- 4maskwolf
- Wolfkey
- AnimePigeon

In no particular order, the remaining suspects. I'm also suspect given my investigation ability is free and I said it day 1 don't pretend crystal. It's not really an in epth list, just breaking down the people who likely didn't do it and don't have any team tendency and removing them from the pool. It will probably get cut down further as the day goes on.

Of note, Magma is not town. Completely shutting down abilities is not a good thing. Good if you want to kill Fal, Vermillion, Max, and myself though. Or anyone with a troublesome ability.

You're here, so let's work together for now. To those three that you oppose lynching today, I'd also add that I strictly oppose lynching Vermilion or Fallacy. Assuming you also oppose lynching yourself, this leaves:
- Crystalizedmire
- Oliverz144
- Maximum Spin
- juicebox
- Wolfkey
- AnimePigeon
Which of these players would you most support voting out today? One or two names would be preferred. Please don't say "any".
Magma among the remainder of this list, who would you like to see lynched? I'm sure Max will agree to a stay of execution given we can repeat the day by skipping tonight.

Okay, ignore the role stuff for the moment. Imagine a world where this is a completely vanilla mountainous game.

If you compare Magma's behavior, and Max's behavior, which of the two is more likely to be scum?

I'm aware we can't just ignore the role mechanics, that never ends well, but everything Magma has done in-thread, their active scum hunting, is far townier than Max.

Yet you seem to trust Max much more, hm~?

If Magma proves to be anti-town I propose we move directly to Fallacy.

The fact they didn't use the thing I gave them. And the fact mafia with it is pretty much a dead town. And yet Magma said their only option was to lynch Max now, when apparently someone accepting their offer will nullify any abilities of previous people.

And while it hasn't been said it's implied. One power to skip the day, one power to skip the night. seems legit.

I know what I was doing when I gave Max that power, putting fate in a gamble. The double night at start didn't hurt all that much either to be fair.

And Imp, I'm sorry, I know you like Fallacy, but ALL my dedicated Fallacy Red Flags have been going off this time. It's just like in Max Jack Knightwing. LOCKED ON. I'm not saying we need to do it right now, but I do have to ask you to extend me the trust of considering it a reasonable possibility (even though I'm not really backing it up with anything but gut feels).

Imps Mechanic suggests that me, Vermilion, Oliver and Imp are aligned in some way.

Plus, whilst they were a null read for me Day 1, Night 2 I was added to a chat with Oliver & Vermilion. (I didn't create the chat, someone else did)

Has this tactic ever worked?

I'll trade a life for a life if I'm wrong. Lynch me tomorrow, it's fair - and it'll keep me from ever having the chance to use the thing Tric gave me that I would never have chosen not to use n2 as scum anyway but somehow you still think it's a possibility.

But if I'm right, you have to make the same bet.

How about whichever one of us scumhunted the least thus far is executed first?

That happens to be you, as it happens.

Even if we compare you and Magma Mater, it's still you.

Your scum play is slipping.
