Maybe I wasn't clear, Fallacy. I'm suggesting you should try actually being cool and in control.

I want to be clear that I think Fallacy is incredibly cool.  I will, outside of maf games where I don't know if Fal is on my team and must wonder if Fal is not -

Outside of playing a maf game, I would happily follow Fal.  Fal's cool and can have any control Fal wants.

But it's you, Max, not Fal, that I see focusing on this cool and in control thing.

Comparatively, I'm deeply uneasy with how you'd use control and what you might think at any moment was cool, or ideal, or fun.

But this is one of my idols you're disparaging!

I won't even try to stop you, but wow.  My support of how cool Fal is, and how much I'd be open to Fal using control is pretty much open.

I'm not even trying to disparage him, I want him to get over that insecurity he tends to bring to d1.

Hi!  You exist!

What do you understand about what each person's done so far this game?

Show of hands on whether I should do something really stupid and dangerous that MIGHT win the game?

Do it

FallacyofUrist, you're still doing the thing...
fallacy is town though

Dead gods, I forgot to close Imp's quote box. Ugh.

Magma Mater. Share who you believe outed themselves as scum, and why, and I'll unvote.
See the problem is that I have to wait for them to post more, so that I can come up with reasons that sound legitimate and reasonable to everyone else. If I post my actual reasons, you'll neither believe me nor follow my logic. So it's both counter-productive and anti-town for me to share my reasons with you.
Instead of voting for town with the petty indignance of a thousand housecats, you might discover that reading the thread and finding scum is a better use of your time. Despite what you say, juicebox does have enough posts for you to form a scumread on him, assuming you put your thinking cap on before reading them.

So you're saying you think I'm scum? Why? If you do think I'm scum and want me to talk more, why not interact with me so that I can say more potentially incriminating things?

Hey, Juice.  You're really quiet.  What does this mean?  Are you happy with how the game's going, think we're likely to elim who you want today and moving forwards?

It means I don't really think this D1 is going all that great and I'd be okay with Max doing something to shake things up.

Okay.  Why do you think that what Max does will shake up the D1, and not some later part of the game, like N1+?  If he said it would shake up D1 (past him asking our opinions if he should) I totally missed that.

You don't seem to be trying to.... achieve anything other than seeing Max's shaking stuff up.

Why.... not?

You can say we're voting for town, but so far you haven't really shown any signs of being town.
This is patently untrue. Have you read my posts?

Yes.  Will you help me see how you are showing 'signs of being town'?

I suspect more than just myself might benefit and learn from your explanation.
Are you asking me to build a town case for myself? Would you even believe me? Town-casing oneself is generally problematic and usually does nothing but draw the ire of other townies. As soon as someone goes on the defensive, the mob smells blood in the air and jumps on the poor sob just trying to defend himself.
I will mention one thing. I'm an incredible scum player, and wouldn't be getting anywhere near this much heat if I were actually scum. In the only other scum-game I've played on this site, I won without receiving a single vote. I've done things like convince town to no-lynch, while I was mechanically confirmed mafia. You already looked up my scum game on this site, you can see for yourself. The difference is night and day.

FallacyofUrist, you're still doing the thing...

You say this while continuing to ignore the question I've asked you twice. Third time's the charm?

Mentioning for the any of us who don't read the OP that close, one possible explanation for the massive amount of posting oddities, we could have more than one mafia team, and/or serial killer(s), and/or cult/conversion, and/or 'outsider(s)' with weird or possibly completely unique wincons and/or persecutors who just need a particular person to be elim/lose.

Again, I'm town.  I sure hope if any of you are aliens, time-travelers or espers, or otherwise anti-town, you fight it out between yourselves and view town as the least of your problems for now.

Man, this is one of the games I feel surrounded by pod people, and this time I don't get to be a survivor-werewolf trying to help town for the joy of it and it's a way to win for sure I can win with.

Magma, you directly say what Tric said was false - Tric said you haven't really shown any signs of being town.

You say that's patently untrue and ask if Tric has read your posts.

I say, I have read them.  And as you to help me see how you are showing those signs of being town.

I want into your head.  I see you playing word/mind games without pro-town-likely focus to my sense and read.

You could be one of those aliens, time-travelers or espers trying to take out your priority targets around town (for now), I don't eeping know.

I don't want you to make a town case for yourself.  I want to know exactly what you're doing and why and what you know and what threat(s) we face which you might be one of but might have clues to what else besides 'maybe also you' (from my perspective) we face.

However, you challenged Tric with mind/word games for some reason and without any idea how to move forward and feeling tugged by your 'but you don't make sense' and the other feels I get from you, so I jumped into the 'game' there and attempted to return a serve.

I do understand that you COULD be a town enemy and enemy of other town enemies and this could be way more complex than I know, but even with that understanding I still dunno.

If you're an anti-town with other anti-town enemies and no abilities that's gotta be VERY interesting for you, and might explain some of your posts and focus.  That's a weird rabbit hole as I try to think through it, and I just in general am confused and wondering how to get answers from anyone who might have answers.

I will say, if you happen to be a survivor, I've been a survivor who played as-if town, and I've been a survivor who claimed D1 and was fully open to helping town win (individual townies decided to vote me and I was like the world's most dangerous vote-manipulating survivor who insta-hammered the moment I was voted, and poor town did that twice then it was just the 2 scum teams and myself and I instahammered out of that too, removing the more hostile to me scumteam).

But I am a player that understands that survivor might not be the end of the world or a problem.  If you're anti-town though, you're kinda stuck, but I know you may not be the only anti-town and you may not be the most dangerous.

But I'm really confused and don't have anywhere near the info I wish I already had, so... I don't know what to do next.

Wdym I'm not trying to achieve anything, I'm clearly trying to get Magma Mater to plainly state their suspicions and form an actual case

Also Max didn't specifically say what he was gonna do would shake things up but his description heavily implies it

Snip

Sure. Given that it was the very beginning of the game and CM had no suspicions on either of us I thought that it was a fine reason to choose Fallacy.

I mean you might be a terrifying, confusing, too-quiet, weird-seeming motivated pod person.  I'm just not used to seeing you explore so.... narrowly is all.
