Good afternoon.

Y'all are gonna kill me regardless so I'm just gonna ignore y'all and solve for a while so you'll have a legacy to go off of.

Let's see what you do and how you do it.  The day's young yet, you're E-2 I think (E-3 if the Oliverz red 'mafia' text is read as a vote change).

Seriously, what harm does it do to see how 4maskwolf and any others play for the rest of the day?  Personally I'm not bored and I find more information useful.

I also consider it possible folks will maybe see fit to change their votes, I'm not sure who is our D3 elim, there's loads of time if we use it.

Imp: I initially thought that my actions failed becuase I thought it was somehow tied to th dissapearance of the day. Only now I know that it was because Wolfkey bussed us.
Oliverz: Since when was I claiming false actioms or knew Magma Mater's role? This seems like you are talking about someone else that isnt me or you are fabricating evodence against me.

Let's start with Oliverz since in my limited time to reread yesterday Oliverz posts were inflicting too much psychic damage and taking too long to parse to be worth reading. Also I'm voting there for mech reasons so might as well see if the play lines up.
Spoiler: Oliverz D1 posts (click to show/hide)
If I'd had the mental capacity and time to read all these posts during my D1 reread I would have happily thrown this in with Wolfkey and AP in the "nothing going on, can burn" category. There's some mech, some mafia 101, some flattery towards other players, but not much actual solving going on.

What does catch my eye is how much of the little solving there is is focused on Magma. If it weren't for the mech today I'd lean towards w/w but Magma used a hostile role action on Oliverz so I'm going to shelve that thought and move on to D3.

Spoiler: Oliverz D3 (click to show/hide)

Yeah this dies. If there's one thing you take away from my posting once I flip it's kill this with fire. Most of my thoughts on why are right at the end of the spoiler, in response to oliverz readslist. I was actually leaning towards vaguely townie null until I saw that abomination of a post. The only other thing I have to add is how much time Oliverz spends on pure mechanics discussion even today, there's almost no solving going on anywhere.

Unrelated to the actual content of the post, I accidentally hit the back button partway through D3 and almost had a heart attack, thankfully when I hit the forward button it dropped me back where I was. Which after reading the rest of Oliverz D3 is actually even funnier because it happened to him and Tric, but I'm the only one who lucked out. This is why MU has an autosave feature.

Every couple years I make the mistake of trying to do a full detailed ISO read on someone and learn from my mistakes, even here on a lower posting player it's horrible pain and suffering. I might read a couple other players tonight but don't expect this level of detail I literally don't have the time or energy for it.

OH yeah I forgot to say if Oliverz flips wolf flip CM, I'm like 95% sure that readslist is a rule of 3 and it's definitely not Magma.

The last one is probably in TM/FoU/max. Personally I'd go Fallacy first at this point in time.

Oliverz... calls out... Wolfkey?

This might change everything.

But when I do the math, I wind up with four scum, so no, it's probably still just Spin, Tric, and juice.

But, admittedly, I do need to investigate the hypothetical world where Spin is just radically incompetent instead of being actual scum, just to see if my blind spots are hiding anything.

Not that I expect Spin not to be scum, he's incredibly scummy, not that anyone other than Magma cares, but maybe I'm wrong about who his partners are.

Re lost posts, I often use notepad and copy/paste into the forum when I'm ready/done.

Or I copy my post every few minutes and keep working on it so I can just paste in and keep going if I lose it somehow (power flickers are evil, that requires a saved copy)

I'll sleep soon and work after.  I'll be around about 2.5 hours to planned EoD.

We plan to go straight to D4, I think, but maybe that doesn't happen; maybe someone has a day power to make stuff happen EoD or whatever, so a skipped night won't matter.

I would like to catch up on the day's posts and post updated reads/observations/things I want people to consider if I die before we end day, just in case unexpected fireworks happen and I don't get to talk more.

That said, if people who can think it's best to rush EoD, any and all survivors will handle it as seems useful.

Hey, 4mask, those you're sure are not evil, or seem sure of, like Magma.  If you're interested/willing, explaining why you see whichever folks as towny or as null is valuable to my thinking too.  It's also useful in general for evaluating how you think, so if someone is interested in considering and moving their vote, it can't hurt you.

I appreciate your reads, and I appreciate them regardless of if you flip or not.

This wording, by the way:

Good afternoon.

Y'all are gonna kill me regardless so I'm just gonna ignore y'all and solve for a while so you'll have a legacy to go off of.

I'm not trying to stop your solving at all.  But the wording you use, it's almost like you're saying you're solving and making a legacy because you're about to die, and like you wouldn't if you were more sure you were gonna live.

You also mention the isoing (of at least Oliverz, but you make it sound like most isoing of anyone) as being painful.  I wonder what about mafia brings you joy, and how you like to play and scumhunt.

Thanks for your help.

Oliverz... calls out... Wolfkey?

This might change everything.

Fal, why make a post like this?  What's your thoughts and why does one have to ask for them?

But when I do the math, I wind up with four scum, so no, it's probably still just Spin, Tric, and juice.

But, admittedly, I do need to investigate the hypothetical world where Spin is just radically incompetent instead of being actual scum, just to see if my blind spots are hiding anything.

Not that I expect Spin not to be scum, he's incredibly scummy, not that anyone other than Magma cares, but maybe I'm wrong about who his partners are.

So, Fal... if your math is almost right, and you have 3/4 right, or there are 4, or you have 2/4; there's all kinds of useful ways/reasons to discuss your reads in a specific and clear way, instead of calling numbers.  Umm, I know I'm using phrases like 'among the counted' and maybe you're sending semi-hidden messages to your people during the day because you can't use a chat except at night or something (In my case, I have no chats, but can have mech to discuss or semi-hide while discussing.

But just because I'm discussing references to math in vague ways and clearly prize 'counting' - doesn't mean it's great for you to just use numbers instead of names.

The spoiler title is not a joke, you really don't have to open it unless you really want to read like fifty posts to check my work.

But let me summarize Fallacy's ISO ever since he voted Max.

Ahem.

MAX MAX MAX MAX MAX MAX MAX MAX MAX MAX MAX MECH MAX MAX MAX MECH MECH MAX MECH MAX MAX MAX MAX MAX MECH MECH MECH MAX MAX MAX MAX MAX MAX MAX MAX MECH MECH MAX MAX MAX

Honestly this is so utterly myopic that I'm inclined to file this under town and move on, there's a grand total of two posts in there that aren't mech, why max is a wolf, or who could be a wolf with max. I don't know Fallacy's meta too well but I think Fallacy has enough experience that he, y'know, does literally anything else in addition to pushing Max worlds.

We also, if I'm reading this correctly, have three cop claims. Fallacy, Oliver, and Imp.

Yeah I don't think Fallacy and Oliver and w/w.

If Max flips town, are Tric and juicebox still mafia?

Good post 4mask, I read Oliverz's read list the same way essentially. I appreciate the time you put into that.
Unvote for now. I do intend to put it back before EOD but I can make sure you have time to do stuff.

Answering this in a separate post for my own sanity, post caps be damned.

Let's see, people I think are town:
Magma I'm not, like, 100% on being town and could be a weird wolf counterpart to my role (stealing things from the living rather than the dead) but seems to be one of the only people with their head screwed on so I'm fine with having him around and posting.
You I tinfoiled back and forth on but while I don't think the way you played your peek on me was townie it's not actually out of character with what I've seen of you so far and the rest has been mostly townie. You also fall into the same category as magma, and the wolves probably did try and kill you unless the team is exactly you/vermillion/+1. Yes it could be multiball but I'm not playing like it's multiball unless we have evidence.
Juicebox has generally been townie, and I know he's telling the truth about his N2 action.
Fallacy I'm now leaning towards down on after a quick reread.
Those are the only four people I think are, like, townie right now. The rest of my list was determined by AP not being aligned with Oliver since you don't fruit vend a kill target and not being convinced that Oliver specifically calls out Wolfkey like that if they're wolf buddies. Looking at the way Oliver treated CM though it could happen so I'd revise to say if Oliver is a wolf the third wolf is in Max/TM/Wolfkey

Re: the second part, it's not that I wouldn't have solved if I didn't think I was 100% dying but if I thought there was a chance I live the day I would have invested time and energy into making that happen and trying to push through a wolf rather than diving into heavy analysis for my legacy. Better a dead wolf than dead town. But since I'm dying anyway no point wasting energy on that.

You're reading a little too much into my comment about ISOing being painful, I genuinely do enjoy playing mafia both for the social aspect as well as (for town) the desperate race to solve before the clock runs out and (for wolves) the joy of using my perfect knowledge to send the town running this way and that. When I say pain it's not, like, super deep or I genuinely dislike the game or whatever, it's just that not being able to press one button and pull up every post a player made in the game for review is a big loss of convenience and means I have to take longer to accomplish the same effect.

Yes, but. What if I'm right about it being Max? Why is nobody actually stopping to consider my arguments? Does nobody else see how juicebox and Tric backed him up?

Baaaaaaah.

I feel like we got way too lost in the night game sauce and ended up speeding right past obvious bad behavior.

Which, of course, was probably Max's plan.

(That part and only that part is a joke.)

Readslist:
Town
Imp - obv town - Helpful as always though I find her posts quite verbose
Vermillionskies - Confirmed town? - confirmed town if I understand correctly, I dont think I absorbed the information enough though
Tricmagic - Town vibe - I think they are trying to help and I sort of trust their judgement on Maximum Spin
Fallacy of Urist - Scumishly town - They're paranoid at maximum Spin but I think they're genuinely paranoid as town. Still, they emit a scumish vibe.
Maximum Spin - Scumishly town - I find their odd silence a little scummy but I trust Tricmagic's judgement and I dont think we can do anything about it.
Magma Mater - townish null - I find their playstyle more agravating rather than  scumish. There are some posts which feel like they're trying to help town.
Wolfkey - newbish null - their play is reasonable for a newbie and I get it. In my first mafia game I found it hard jumping into the conversation too.
Oliverz - obv scum - value their abilities much more than they value town. Not only that, they straight up think I am lying about my actions and refused to elaborate. Said my role was unclear despite it being very clear. Said I knew magma mater's role(I did not know).
4mask wolf - obv scum - investigated as scum and only claimed to be miller after the investigation. Voted on Oliverz wagon in an obvious attempt to save themself.
Mafia

Dear Magma, im happy you interacted with my post, although you didn't show any interest for my perspective, Which is quite saddening yet not unforeseeable.

Dear Max, thank You for the clarification ;)

Please, somebody, explain to me how to Iso on this site.
Also, how am i on the theme of post caps? I feel like i post a medium amount of content, which however is by far not as compressed and tightly packed into posts as Imp does it...
I tend not to concern myself with the perspective of mafia LOL
Wether you like it or not, trying to see the perspective of someone you think is scum is quite helpful for town.

Thanks for answering my question, Imp.

Ninjad: I still think maskwolf is scum
Good iso on Oliverz and Fallacy but I dont understand why I would be scum if Oliverz is scum.

Good iso on Oliverz and Fallacy but I dont understand why I would be scum if Oliverz is scum.
I should probably clarify what rule of three means.

Rule of Three is the idea that when a wolf provides three wolfreads, most of the time exactly one is scum. It's an extrapolation from the way most wolves play, where they aren't going to go all-in on powerwolfing or bussing but try and remain somewhere in the middle, pushing a mix of town and wolves to maintain credibility while advancing agenda.

I'm town.

Magma and Oliverz almost always aren't w/w unless Oliverz is a way better player than I'm giving him credit for.

And Oliverz does not strike me as the type of wolf to powerwolf the hell out of the game and provide an all-green mafia list just off the way he's played so far, so he's probably fallen to rule of three.

Which means you're a wolf.

You're also the only person on his wolf list that he didn't vote today, despite devoting more time to why you were a wolf than me.

You're on my list to ISO before EoD to determine whether or not that initial analysis holds up.
