The very first cruck house goes up, leering over all the mud huts with it's shiny new supremacy. Two workers move in, waiting to be assigned to tasks, and enjoying their spare time.
Tools are used, progress is made by the thinker Gnomes, and a brand new gatherer's Hut goes up to store more food and prevent spoilage. An attempt is made to hunt rats, but the Thinker Gnomes reckoned they might need something to do with weapons first. The afflicted worker could not be found to be given the gift of an axe, so another Gnome uses it instead. Where is that guy, anyway?
Speaking of planks, the workshop works around the clock turning felled trees into building materials. Everything was going well!

The Wise Man woke up from his coma. The strange symbols around camp start to glow. Are there more of them then you remember?
"The Spirits!" he bellows, "The spirits are angry!!"
A whaling screaming vortex sweeps through the forest and clearing disorientating you! Unseen hands throw mud bricks in the air and disrupt stockpiles! You watch the food stockpiles start to rot before your eyes, despite being under cover!
