Build a Mud Hut, and assign labourer to Foraging Food
Please assign the worker to sticks instead. Not only is it more efficient, since we're getting small amounts of free flint, but you're going to make the mud workers riot.

Mutter.  We just got told by the new worker the forest is dangerous.  Clearly it's not as dangerous for us yet.

Probably a bad idea to take the worker off making bricks, the one safe thing it can do in front of us all in a well-watched location, and send it off to gather food.

My action:

Mooore fooooode.  However, I stay with the worker.  We gather food together, and I see what happens to it, if anything.  I try to stay safe with it and keep it safe too.

TURNTURNTURN

It is a quiet day as the early birds get up and perform their ablutions. Some more progress is made on Woodworking, and another Mud Hut goes up, in a remarkably unprecedented housing boom for the clearing. Another worker joins the group, and he is quickly escorted into the woods to get some on the job training.

The warning given by the worker that arrived the previous day is taken seriously, and a more experienced Gnome refuses to leave the newbie's side. There are strange mists moving through the forests, but they seem harmless enough. The foragers come to no harm and return with a bounty of food, though everyone agrees they are getting a little sick of eating roots and berries. Still, no one can think of a better foodsource just yet. Perhaps the Thinkers will come up with something, sooner or later.

Another attempt is made to heal the sick worker, but whatever is wrong with him does not seem curable by the physical...

Build a mud hut and have the worker gather mud.

Okay, worker's can't gather sticks, I was confused by gather's huts being able to store sticks.
