Turn 0
You are hit by a wave of hot, humid air as you languidly roll out of the grey oozing slime pit. Your senses - subdued though they are - are hit by a cacophony of angry squawking, incessant insect calls and low distant bellows. Huge ferns stretch upwards as they compete with strange gnarled trees and vibrant, oversized plant-life. Vehement ants soldier up and down thick tree trunks carrying leaves quadruple their size. Things flutter in the canopy and silhouettes dart from tree to tree. The ground underfoot around the slime pit is an unfortunate dark gray-brown, and somewhere between the consistency of mud and thick slurry. Lucky for you, you have no trouble finding purchase with your blob-bod.
The air hums with life, but the voracious, competitive kind. The kind that is eat or be eaten. The kind that is kill or be killed. The gray slime pit looks like a deathtrap to most creatures, as it bubbles away incredulously. Black tarlike opaque bubbles drift a foot off the surface of the muck and pop with a stomach-lurching slurping sound that is not found in nature. A bulbous dark mass moves haphazardly in the depths.
OOC: There is always more to do and explore, and the world will respond to your actions. The below is simply to get you situated into your environment while you get acquainted with being 000000.1 seconds old. Feel free to ignore it if you wish and perform whatever actions your Slimebrain perceives to be most vital.
You feel quite at home here! This place is probably the safest in all of the Majestic Caves for a slime. To the North the foliage grows thick and lush. To the East the path is clearer, framed by elongated vine-covered trees. To the west the way grows thorny, but the thicket stretches far above your little slime-bod, leaving a brambly tunnel. To the south the Slime Pits stretch out even further, but you can easily skirt the edges or go for a swim.
