Also Crystalizedmire, I triggered Turn 3 early before your post, which is my bad.

Gain this to your inventory:
RTD Dice: Set one RTD in a turn to 5, this dice then disappears.

It;s my bad too! I should've submitted my turn earlier.
One question, does Pungeont Cloud activate every turn since it's a passive?

Turn 5
TURNTURNTURN

Quote from: Imp
but maybe there's owlets or eggs or something nice inside, not that Esk probably has any knowledge of such things.

Ants coming up seem like a nice treat, we will absorb what we can with our extra roll for that.

Esk continues to absorb into the toppled tree, leaving the outer layer of bark and outermost wood intact (like a shell) and going inside from the base.  Getting into the tree seems awesome.

Any monkeys trying to whip or reach for me, like the ants!  I try to absoooooorb whatever I touch or that touches me.  Especially if it seems tasty.  Monkey is the yum, as is fallen tree and inner cavity owl nest if I can find it!

We continue to scan the local area.  We continue to attempt to put out the scent trail.

3 - Mixed Success - Scent Trail, absorbing ants

Slimes are ever the opportunists, and you happily munch down on any ants that stumble into your vicinity, if a little absent-mindedly.

Your 'antennae nubs' ability is upgraded! Your nubs are now 1/2 foot long.
*[2/3]Antennae Nubs: You have the start of two 1/2 foot thin protrusions on the top of your head. you can move them independently of each other. It's not too effective right now, but if you rolled on your side you could use them to touch things further away from you.

2 - Failure - Absorb

Esk knows what it wants to achieve with absorbing the tree, but it can't quite figure out the right technique to finesse the situation as it pleases. But persistence always gets rewarded, right?

ERROR: Cannot use 'absorb' action twice on both monkeys and tree in the same turn.

5 - Total Success - Luck Roll Monkey

The monkey bears it's teeth at you and approaches gingerly, but it doesn't seem quite to know what to make of this weird slime creature.

You are standing among the vine covered trees. There is no one nearby, apart from angry pink monkeys.

North: Thick, Robust Forest
East: Vine covered Forest, partially blocked by fallen tree and needing a RTD check to navigate over, through or otherwise pass it
South: Hot Springs
West: Starting SlimePits.

Quote from: Wolfkey
Glop decides to go away from the web-filled corridor, and instead scans the east tunnel, then absorbs some of the rubble if it does not seem dangerous.

4 - Partial Success - Scan

You are quite sure there are no monsters in this area, although you do detect some critters making their homes under the rubble.

Centipede: A many legged insect, known for being venomous. Has tiny little pincers on it's tiny little face.
Woodlouse: Armored insect that has a tendency to curl up into a ball when frightened. Has two wiggly antennaes.

6 - Overdid it - Absorb

MMMM, This rubble is delicious?! You gorge yourself on the rubble piece by piece, chowing it down too quickly to gain any benefit. When you finally exit your crazed eating stupor, you find you have eaten every piece of rubble in sight, and you are far along the corridor into the next room!

A huge section of wall has crumbled here, and an ornate carved stone face lies at a skewed angle, covering the entire wall. It's eyes glow momentarily yellow.

"SEEK YE KNOWLEDGE OF THE MAJESTIC CAVES, TRAVELLER?" booms a voice from it's unmoving lips. "TO EACH LIFETIME I OFFER ANSWER TO ONE QUESTION ONLY." It takes a moment to perceive you, "EVEN FOR THE NEWLY BORN, I SUPPOSE."

You are alone in the Crossing of the Questioner.
North-East: A spiraling tunnel of dungeon stone, leading into darkness.
East: A howling, windy tunnel of unhewed stone.
West: A dungeon stone corridor, occasional puddles of a strange liquid.
South: Recently-Cleaned Hallway, UNCLAIMED. Claim for Blob's Dungeon?

Quote from: MonkeyManMario
Blob 001 heads north and scans the surroundings absorbing as he goes.

4 - Partial Success - Absorb

You mosey on over north, having a light snack as you go.

Gain a Passive trait:
*[1/3] Sticky Body -  your amorphous body becomes more tacky, causing items to stick to you and higher tension on the surface of your 'skin'.
*[1/3] Smooth Body - the surface of your amorphous body hardens slightly, and takes on a grayish hue. You are on your way to becoming a Boring Gray Slime! Your skin has become more reflective and smooth, cool to the touch.
*[1/3] Elongated Body - your body stretches and your natural resting state becomes more tube-like instead of a blob, like a pudgy piece of string.

You are currently surrounded by lush foliage. Mire has just left.
North: An Open Clearing
East: Thicker Forests
West: Muddy Foliage
South: Starting Slime Pits

Quote from: crazyabe
Gurrglux Rides the Masked Buffalo!

3 - Mixed Success - Ride the Buffalo

Yee Haw!! You manage to stay on their backs rather then under their hooves, though you bounce around a bunch. Luckily, Slimes are pretty good at the whole bouncing thing. Also, these guys travel fast. You are not sure how long they were running for, but you get a distinct sensation of them slowing down.

As you examine the world in front of you, you realize you are standing on the edge of a beautiful blue lake. It's huge! The buffalo approach the edge of the water and begin to settle into grazing and drinking around here. On the far opposite side, you see a massive cliff face, riddled with holes. As you watch, giant bees the size of buffalos zip in and out of the cliffs. Around you, the foliage is verdant, but kept in check by hungry grazers. The lake is positively idyllic.

Gain a Skill section to your character sheet and add the following:

[1/5] Riding - Buffalo: Once [1/5] is completed, gain the skill Riding. +1 to RTD rolls when riding creatures, +2 to RTD rolls when riding buffalo.

You don't know how you got here, but you are alone slime-wise.

North: ? ? ? ? ?
East: ? ? ? ? ?
South: Crystal Clear Lake Edge
West: ? ? ? ? ?

Quote from: Megam0nkey
That does intrigue him...both the rattling sounds, Gems, and thoughts of eating more magic...so Bloat Decides that the door might be magic! His hunger compels his thoughts, and he tries to eat the gems in the doors. On either success or failure, he uses his amorphous form to squeeze past the doors, and eat whatever is behind it.

1 - Catastrophic Failure - Absorb

You nibble too greedily and too quickly, causing some of the gems to fall out their holdings and shatter on the ground! As you realise this, the skull motif on the door glows red. Before you have a chance to react, the doors swing open wildly, smooshing you against the wall! You hear the rattling of bones as you peak through the gap and see 2 Armed Skeletons with swords and shields!

Bloat's Dungeon is being contested. In order to retain supremacy, fight off the interlopers or get them to leave*

*or come back later when they're not around and reclaim it.

Quote from: Crystalizedmire
+Detect Nearby Filth
Mire heads west and scans the area. They also try to Dectect Nearby Filth.

4 - Partial Success - Detect Nearby Filth
The world fades to black and gray as nearby places of filth sharpen into focus.

You detect another odorous flower nearby as you pass through.
This muddy plain is covered in holes. You detect a pit filled with a mass of vegetation waste.
There are many flies buzzing around here - above your very head!
A dung beatle rolls a dung ball through the area. Now that you pay attention, there are a few dotted around the place.
A puddle of stagnant water houses various insipid lifeforms. Mosquitos zip around it heartily.
You notice another larger, more suspicious puddle. Something about it seems odd, but it is very filthy and very deep. You get a sense of movement within it's depths.

5 - Total Success - Scan
You are standing in a muddy plain, speckled by boulders and puddles. There are a few hardy shrubs squatting close to the ground here, presumably to dodge the clouds of mites and pesky mosquitos. Not that flora tends to worry about that sort of thing.

Mosquitos: Feared bloodsuckers despite their small stature, these creatures have a tendency to carry disease with them.
Boulders: Jagged, dark things that offer respite from the dodgy ground below. They are generally quite large and of various discoloration. One nearby looks darker then the others.
Mud: The ground here is almost as bad as the Slime Pits - almost. You get the distinct feeling the earth isn't very stable.
Holes: The landscape is dotted in puddles of undefined depth, and slippery holes that lead into the earth.
Puddle Spawn: the eggs of various insects bob lazily in some of these puddles.
Suspicious Puddle: Combo with Detect Nearby Filth. On closer inspection, the water is opaque and slightly iridescent. You get the distinct impression it is far deeper then it looks. Perhaps something lurks within...
Mulch Monster: Combo with Detect Nearby Filth. In one of the holes in the ground is some sort of leafy entity, having a long nap.

5 - Total Success - Pungent Cloud/Sticky Body

Nom nom nom! Can't forget your yummy fly snacks! It looks like some nearby mosquitos are developing a curiosity about your fine regal scent.

Pick a Passive Trait:
*[1/3]Multi-Leg Nubs: Gain six little nubs on the base of your slime body. They're currently useless, but you can wiggle them independently of each other, and it raises you a little bit off the ground.
*[1/5]wing Nubs: Two small clear nubs appear on your back. It is a very weird sensation, but you can make them wiggle slightly. It is hard to tell how useful this is.

Or an Active Ability:
*[2/3]Detect Nearby Filth: You send a pulse that allows you to detect nearby sources of rot, filth or otherwise gross things in the immediate location that you are in.

You are standing in the muddy plain. Gurrglux has been here recently.
North: Grey Waste
East: Luscious Foliage
South: Thicket
West: Mangroves

I apologise for the delay of this post, TIL I can't count to 6 if it's split between two pages xD

Yep! for better or worse, it's always active. You can upgrade it to turn it into a more deliberate ability.

Hilarious typos are kinda your thing, I like it!  So do the fairies, and your "the tunnels being fairy open plan." affecting Bloat's Dungeon.

Some of the typos are because I'm british and my browser autocorrects to American English and confuses me greatly. But some of these typos has just been absurd xD I think I'm going to have to add a fairy section somewhere...

Any additional ants coming up seem like a nice treat, Esk will continue to absorb what ants we can with our extra roll for that.

Scan scan scan the plan, or at least the rain that fails mainly on this plain... hey, what's with this monkey?  Scanning whatever is around (monkey seems very around).

The tree seems to say, we fell for you, and we got your back!  Don't eat us, use us as a springboard!

Operation catch monkey in effect.  If the monkey won't come to the slime, the slime will go to the monkey.  Spring-sling-fling-bring monkey get consumed (I hope) - absorb nearest monkey, with or without its cooperation.  Maybe we try to roll on our side and reach with the antennae nubs!  As springboard off tree seems advanced.

Esk continues to attempt to put out the scent trail.

I am standing among the vine covered trees. There is no one nearby but angry pink monkey dunkey donut yum!

Creatures nearby:  3? Whiptail monkeys deep purple fur (whoops, now they pink), grey hands (pink now?) and gripping feet, 1 vinelike tail (each?) thrashing wildly in anger, with one near me and showing me teeth to make scanning easier (surely that's why, or else it requests dental help).  Maybe also various ants, some heading towards me via scent trail, yum!

Bloat does not understand deescalating a situation or fleeing, all he understands is his ever growing hunger. These skeletons look magic enough, so bloat will attempt to get under  and absorb them. Using his slimy body of course, to shimmy through them, and slide past their stabbing motions with gelatinous ability!

Turn 6
TURNTURNTURN

I meant to make an announcement on Turn 5, but Turn 6 is just as good.

When giving out traits/abilities, I usually describe the placement, e.g. wing nubs on the back. But! You are Slimes who don't really have an up-down-left-right yet.

On this turn you can, without requiring a RTD roll, re-arrange the location of your traits on your slimebod if you wish  :)

Quote from: Crystalizedmire
Mire absorbs the odorous flower and uses the rtd die on Pungent Cloud.

6 - Overdid It - Absorb!

You are beset by a Giant Fly that picks you up and carries you into the air!

Gain the Passive trait:
*? ? ?Giant Petals: Petals have sprouted all around you in every direction, and they are big! On the up side, you can brush against things without risking your slimebod, and maybe it's nice to have a part of you that's not made of Slime. On the downside, they are inconveniently large, and make moving around slower while you get used to them.

2 - Failure autoset to 5

Well, might as well have a snack while you contemplate how to get out of this predicament.

*[1/5]wing nubs: Two small clear nubs appear on your back. It is a very weird sensation, but you can make them wiggle slightly. It is hard to tell how useful this is.
*[1/3]Multi-Leg Nubs: Gain six little nubs on the base of your slime body. They're currently useless, but you can wiggle them independently of each other, and it raises you a little bit off the ground.

Or an Active Ability:
**[3/3]Detect Nearby Filth: You send a pulse that allows you to detect nearby sources of rot, filth or otherwise gross things in the surrounding area, including nearby locations, not just the one you are in.
**[3/3]Detect Nearby Filth: You send a pulse that allows you to detect nearby sources of rot, filth or otherwise gross things, and gain more detail about them.

Quote from: Imp
Scanning whatever is around (monkey seems very around).

absorb nearest monkey, with or without its cooperation.  Maybe we try to roll on our side and reach with the antennae nubs!  As springboard off tree seems advanced.

Esk continues to attempt to put out the scent trail.

5 - Total Success - Scan

You scan the Monkey. You think this creature would give you the ability to grow purple fur, or potentially hands or feet that can climb. The monkey also has sharp teeth and an expressive face, and it's vine like tail looks like a deadly weapon. You think it's tail could be used to both grab things, sweep things or perhaps even stab things, given that the end of the tail has a small spade-like shape.

5 - Total Success - Absorb

Spring-sling-fling-bring monkey attack!!! In a moment of surprising grace for the slime you ping pong over to them and manage to catch it unawares! NomnomNOM!

Gain a Passive Trait:
*[1/3]Foot Nubs: Gain two nubs under your slimebod. Despite having no identifying features yet, they seem somewhat grippy, like you'd be able to gain traction easier. Not to mention, they lift you off the ground!
*[1/3]Tail Nub: A long thin protusion at your back is the start of a tail. It is thin, surprisingly pointy, and you can wrap it around things to grab them. Your control over this ability isn't too great yet, but you think you can use it to hurl things.

Or an Active Ability:
*[1/3]Screech: Produce a warning screach that sounds very monkey-like, and confuse or frighten nearby creatures that might be around you. This may cause them to flee, stop what they're doing, be inquisitive or get angry depending on the type of creature and how powerful it is.

The other two monkeys don't take kindly to this and have definitely noticed you now! They start stalking towards you!

6 - Overdid it - Absorbing Ants / Scent Trail
Well, you were quite hungry, as Slimes often are. You gobble up all the ants on your scent trail this turn, and won't be able to get new ones for 1 Turn!

Gain this Passive Trait:
? ? ? ? Mandibles: A creepy pair of clacking mandibles have grown on your face! They're quite small so not too useful, but they are certainly going to upset some creatures. You might be able to use them to cut things, but you'd have to get up very close.

Quote from: MonkeyManMario
Blob 001 scans the surrounding area and absorbs Golden Sun Pitchers.

6 - Overdid It - Scan
Your mind is confused with a sudden influx of sensory information! You are unable to scan next turn.

6 - Overdid It - Absorb

In a blinded state you try to absorb the Sun Pitcher, but you are too eager and gobble it down while still dazed!

Gain Passive Trait:
? ? ? ? Pitcher Belly: You have a bulbous protrusion at your front that is a little uncomfortable and unwieldy. It slows you down. Gain 5 Inventory slots, but things stored here have a chance to dissolve when you roll a 6 in future.

Quote from: Megam0nkey
Bloat does not understand deescalating a situation or fleeing, all he understands is his ever growing hunger. These skeletons look magic enough, so bloat will attempt to get under and absorb them. Using his slimy body of course, to shimmy through them, and slide past their stabbing motions with gelatinous ability!

1 - Catastrophic Failure - Absorb

You go to whack the Skeleton but it whacks you back with a flurry of well placed slices, almost like this creature has been honing this technique for centuries.

Everything goes black. You Respawn at the Slime Pits, feeling sluggish. -1 Slimepit respawn.

Woah! You get the sense your dungeon is somewhere far to the North-West.

You are starting in the safe starting slime pits.
North: Lush, thick foliage
East: pathway through vine-covered trees
South: More Slime pits
West: Thorny tunnel

Quote from: Wolfkey
Glop ignores the face and eats the bugs.

6 - Overdid it! - Absorb
You pounce hungrily on the bugs, not caring to properly synthesize what you are absorbing!

Gain a Passive Trait:
? ? ? ?: Uncontrollable many legs: You have grown a plethora of tiny, hairy, wiggly legs! They are constantly moving, and have a habit of zooming you off in various directions! At least they are very quick.

Quote from: crazyabe
Gurrglux Moves South towards the clear lake.
5 - Total Success - Travel

You are on the edge of a lovely clear lake! It's very peaceful here, and the buffalo around you don't seem to mind you as they drink their fill.

The water is beautiful and crystal clear - you think, giving your Slime bod, you could quite easily float across the water to travel if you so wanted. There are various plants lining the water's edge, and you can see fish darting across the water further in. Long reeds stand in patches nearby. The ground is mostly dirt and mud, but there are some flat smooth pebbles mixed in.

You are standing on the edge of a crystal clear lake. No one is around, a part from lots of buffalos.

North: Edge of Buffalo Watering Hole
East: Lake
South: Lake
West: More Shoreline

Things went well.  Let's redo the things!

We choose the tail nub, because tail nubs for the win, with a din, very in!  And gladly get our mandiblibleibles!

Scanning whatever's around, the nearest monkey seems very around!

Absorb nearest monkey, with or without its cooperation.  Maybe we try to roll on our side and reach with the antennae nubs this time!  As springboard off tree seems advanced but doable, and we already did that.  But we mebby can springboard-assist with tail-nub if needed!  Or mebby tail-nub helps keep other monkey off our back?

And we wonder if we're close enough for our passive mandibles to mandible monkey manhandlishly or mandelishously!

Esk continues to attempt to put out the scent trail.  We don't haaaaave to eat the ants-not-there-this-round that probably struggle to follow the fling-interrupted slime trail.  Very well, very well!

I am standing among the vine covered trees. There is no one nearby but angry pink monkey dunkey donut yum!

Creatures nearby:  2? Whiptail monkeys deep purple fur (whoops, now they pink), grey hands that can climb (pink now?) and gripping feet that can climb, 1 vinelike tail that looks like a deadly weapon and maybe can be used to hurl things (each?) thrashing wildly in anger.  Maybe also various ants, some again heading towards me via scent trail, yum!
