Often, when I edit a post, then try to edit it again, it shows the old version. When I try to submit after that, it shows this error:

You already submitted this post! You might have accidentally double clicked or tried to refresh the page.

And does not let me actually apply it. Is forum software acting up again?

I haven't seen any issues on my end. Maybe your internet connection is slow and it's manifesting as a time out kinda situation?

When you attempt to do a second edit but the Edit screen displays the original version of your post, that means your machine's http request for a second edit never reached the bay12 server. Instead, some device along the path sent you a cached webpage of your first request to edit the post. It probably is a timeout issue, where a regional data warehouse follows code like "if the attempt to contact bay12 times out, send this cached version because it is less than n minutes old". For good reasons, the forum software is coded to only allow an edit if a request-to-edit was received.

The solution is, when you attempt a second edit but you see the Edit screen displays your original post, you will need to try different ways to refresh until the Edit screen displays your first edit.

Cntrl + F5 usually refreshes the cache in most browsers.
