Community World Building
« on: May 04, 2024, 04:21:21 pm »

I like world building a lot and I thought it would be interesting to see what a world built by the community would be like.

This topic is for people who want to express their creativity through world building. each person can post up to 5 things to add to the world every month (Artifacts, cities, people, items, wars, civilizations, languages, lore, history, maps, etc.), you can post images, or anything related to the world building idea. Every Idea will be added, your idea can't get rid of another person's idea/creation without a good reason (Example Person 1 makes a city, person 2 adds an idea that makes the city last 1000 years then the city collapses, this would be ok).
For images they can be as large as you want as long as they are related to one or more of the ideas, others can edit and add on to your images if you say it's okay/give permission.

You can also 'team' with someone else, (Example:2 players work together to make ideas for the same village).
Here is a very brief foundation:
There was once one race that lived in peace, but conflict arose. This conflict caused the race to split into many races but there were 3 main ones. The Dwarves, Elves, and Humans....

Addition 1: In the Northern Hemisphere, one of the most affected areas from this conflict were the continents of Valitain and Korgenmer. Once known as "The Northern Sisters" by their inhabitants, now spilt apart into several different factions all vying for control and stability. Korgenmer, the eastern, more mountainous continent, was home to a large population of Dwarves and a smaller minority of Humans. Valitain, the western, more grassland and forested land, found itself as being a Northern Cradle for the Elves and a fair amount of humans, almost split evenly.

Addition 2: Between the two continents were a small grouping of islands, there, a fledgling faction arose. The Kal'Madri Islanders, stood as a small bastion against the splitting of the race, with Elves, Dwarves, Humans, and more accepted all fairly equally. Now they act as a Merchant Kingdom, trading between the continents and various factions while skirting around any old treaties or blockages that try to stop the flow of coinage and goods through silver tongues and grey area loopholes. (ALL OTHER FACTIONS OPEN TO CREATION)

((If this is too much please say! I had this old Inkarnate map from a game that never took off years ago, so feel free to use it! Be warned I currently don't have pro so I cannot edit this atm))

Addition 1: An otherworld called Krifact has a portal in Valitain
Addition 2: Fairies inhabit Krifact and occasionally come out to torment the local inhabitants
Addition 3: Elves were descended from fairies from Krifact who couldn't get back to the otherworld
Addition 4: Elves spread diseases to other races by using enchanted bows and arrows

Addition 1: within the highest mountains of Korgenmer, and their deep caves and surrounding lakes, there be dragons. Large creatures that come in numerous shapes, vaugeley reptillian and usually winged, but not always. They are known to possess magics that let them breathe flame or control storms.

Addition 2: among the surroundings of the land of the dragons, there are Wyverns. Smaller, more animalistic creatures that pay homage to the appearance of the dragons, but do not possess their magic.

Addition 3: within the surrounding lands, a small kingdom has begun to form. They are called Khron, a kingdom of humans mostly. They have managed to learn tricks to work with the Wyverns, and ride them. Though the creatures are not domesticated by any means.

The magic leaking out from the portal to Krifact causes animals in the surrounding lands to mutate, gaining sapience and taking on humanoid forms. These beast people form small tribes and communities.
