Newboy rokks up.
« on: August 06, 2007, 02:58:00 am »

Hey all,

New to DF but thought it is such an exceptional game, that Id register et all.

One question 'bout traps in adventurer mode but,

I was hit by the same rock trap 10 times,is this normal?

Where it says in the game notes that you cant disarm traps, does that mean that traps that have been set off dont get flagged off,but just keep going until the pc gets dropped?

anyway,peace and luv,
and Dwarf Fortress is an incredible game Tarn,so Im guessing in the future it may not be free?

chill.

If you're playing in adventure mode, there is NO way to disarm traps, that means any trap you'll see you're going to suffer.

Rock traps should need a rearm before they're used again, are you sure it wasn't a weapontrap?

You SHOULD revert to the old settings for traps, they're no fun...

I think a rock trap can hit you several times with the single boulder to simulate you getting crushed.  They work as they do in dwarf mode, so the boulder should no longer be in the trap once you get smacked once.

DF is always going to be free, though I appreciate it when people make it not free for themselves, and it's necessary that enough people do that for the game to remain in development.

Can't you sometimes avoid traps by crawling through them?  I seem to recall doing that...
