Hi everyone
As the subject title says, I found a block floor pathway from one side of playing area to the other that ramps down several levels as it goes. I have not found any other evidence of any other civilizations in the caverns.  Anybody ever find anything like this in the fortress mode?  I am wondering if i try to start another embark next to this one if I would find more areas like this.

You've found a worldgen tunnel. Its in the configuration of the dwarf entity to be able to build them, and they'll connect WG forts and mountainhomes which can only be reached with these tunnels between each other (a necromancer's/mummy's zombie horde has to eat the fortress first, then takes the tunnels into the interior to eat the mountainhome and exit again).

Generally if you find one in adventuremode, or depart through the fortress along one, you'll eventually end up in another fort if you can survive the cavern enviroment.
