Funk, you still with us?  I get you don't have an upgrade, but you're part of team Gaia, and we're gonna need you and your awesome undead powers coming real soon, I think!

A young man is staring past his computer. He hears the sound of an airplane, a commercial jet is buzzing by. The sound always made him feel lonely, like he was not living up to his potential. He didn't feel that way today. His computer beeped, part one had ended. His AI models had outperformed the army's models three to one. He was electric, he was gunna be rich! ...Then he noticed an odd reading. Something impossible. Something horrifying, and beautiful.

He was too alone in his field for anybody to comprehend these readings, and a soul isn't a scientifically accepted concept. Sentimental nonsense, the army wasn't going to believe him. Now his pet project and the army's think tank progeny had each completed a self improvement cycle, and the second iterations had been launched. Part two had already started. There was no way to stop this. He was a monster and he knew it.

Push It To The Limit Cover by Battle Beasts starts playing. Three figures slam on the ground kicking up loose dirt and grass, they are wearing matching crimson body suits with light pads. Their chest has the profile of a black dragon, a ruby eye sits inside. From their crouching position they rise: one holds a prod crackling with electricity, another, a baguette wicking embers, and the third just smiles, a forked tongue darts in and out of their mouth.

Dragon Suit: +1 Dodging. Scan target as a free action to add to database.

Electric Prod II: +3 Electric Shock. Roll 5 or higher to stun unconscious.
Not a toy.

Spoiler (click to show/hide)
Ancient Baguette II: +3 Blunt Attack. Roll 5 or higher to immolate.
Legend says the baguette was infused with the magic fires of the first oven at the dawn of time.

TRAIT - Devil Tongue II: +2 Psychological Manipulation. Roll 5 or higher to cause hallucinations.
"We cannot lead a good life disregarded by others, but atleast an evil tongue enables us to control them." —Elder Prince

DRAGON TEAM - Turn 5 of 11
Ahead of them, an obelisk stands part way up the side of a mountain. The structure is adorned with a white jewel on top. It begins to pulse red, faster and faster, until locking in the red color. The ground shakes, then the obelisk's gem is white once more. The mountain begins bellowing smoke...

The new arrivals look at a screen on their suit's forearm. A white diamond seems to mark where the distant obelisk is, and red dots reveal the presence of 7 robots in the vicinity. A couple are moving this way, sure enough 2 fighter robots are patrolling the area...and spot them!

Address the bots: "Your joints screech like they haven't been oiled in the last century. Time to give the old servos some rest, don't you think?"

DRAGON TEAM - Turn 6 of 11

The bots have labels on them: 'Mars3' and 'Mars4'.

The bots hesitate momentarily. (-2 initiative)

9
Teach the two bots the error of their ways with a crackling swing at their torsos. (5+3)/2=4
You slam them both in the thorax, causing them to jerk and twitch as bolts jump between them.

7
And yet more foes arrive infront of he who wields the carbs. Slay them with that which is most Stale and Searing, with a Swing to their knees! (4+3)/2=_3
You slam Mars4, knocking it down, but miss the other.

Knocked unconscious momentarily.

Point to 'Mars3', "Did they program you wrong on purpose? That's not how you do that, and now you've got to let him go before you can grapple him properly."

The dodge bonus from the dragon suits will get a buff to +2 dodge. I forgot to accommodate for the +1 basic enemies will now get, so this will reflect an actual improvement.

Mars3 snap neck Megam0nkey 1 (2+1-2)

"Did they program you wrong on purpose? That's not how you do that, and now you've got to let him go before you can grapple him properly." Mars3 is distracted by Strif3's advice, "Assessment: This Mars unit's martial arts programing appears sufficient. This is how you do it, see? From this position a lethal break is possible. Query: Maybe your programming is..." ZBridges thwacks Mars3 with their prod, causing the shiny metal man to freeze and loosen their grip. Megam0nkey takes the opportunity to slam it with the ancient baguette, the heavy impact triggers some kind of reaction and the fighter robot goes up in flames, melting wires and breaking their glass eyes out. The robot is dead.

Despite the noises of combat echoing across the mountainside, it appears the other 5 unseen robots are holding position. The distant obolesk's white gem begins to flash red at a building rate...

Mars4 gets back up. The fighter robot takes a ready stance.
