There's no room for a carnivore species in the adjacent temperate shallow sea, and despite Magmacube not contradicting my answer you have nevertheless put more than three adaptations on some of them.

You're right about natator horrificans, so I deleted it.  However, I can't seem to see which of the species have had more than three adaptations added to them this turn (added adaptations are in bold, non-bold adaptations are carried over from the parent species to make pvp calculations easier).

Well, C. anhelans and C. saliens have 4 adaptations though. The maximum is 3.

Also, where is C. anhelans going, exactly? The only temparate desert is too small, for it, and while it can go to the dunes at north, it will be at a significant competitive disadvantage if anyone elses predator goes there with warm climate preference.

Please include which region you are sending your new species to, pls. Just include the region in general.

Also, I found the previous once-every-turn continental shift still too fast to play with, so now it is once every two turns.

Included for reference only:
Quote from: Primum Carnifex (speciated from Primum Specium) | A_Curious_Cat
Diet: Carnivore
Climate: Temperate
Habitat: Plains
Limbs:
   -Front: Legs
   -Back: Legs
Tail: Tail
Adaptations:
-Predator Eyes (+2 carnivore rolls, -2 herbivore rolls)
-Predator Teeth (+2 carnivore rolls, -2 herbivore rolls)

Included for reference only:
Quote from: Carnifex Anhelans (speciated from Primum Carnifex) | A_Curious_Cat
Diet: Carnivore
Climate: Temperate
Habitat: Desert
Limbs:
   -Front: Legs
   -Back: Legs
Tail: Tail
Adaptations:
-Predator Eyes (+2 carnivore rolls, -2 herbivore rolls)
-Predator Teeth (+2 carnivore rolls, -2 herbivore rolls)
   -Panting Breath (+1 Desert Rolls)
   -Nocturnality (+1 Desert Rolls)

Quote from: Carnifex Saliens (speciated from Primum Carnifex) | A_Curious_Cat
Diet: Carnivore
Climate: Temperate
Habitat: Plains
Limbs:
-Front: Grasping Claws (+2 Carnivore Rolls)
   -Back: Legs
Tail: Tail
Adaptations:
-Predator Eyes (+2 Carnivore Rolls, -2 Herbivore Rolls)
-Predator Teeth (+2 Carnivore Rolls, -2 Herbivore Rolls)
   -Sprinting Speed (+2 Carnivore Rolls)
   -Sneaking Stealth (+2 Carnivore Rolls)

Well, C. anhelans and C. saliens have 4 adaptations though. The maximum is 3.

In the case of C. anhelans, the first adaptation is the change from Plains habitat to Desert habitat, the second adaptation is the addition of Panting Breath, and the third adaptation is the addition of Nocturnality.  Predator Eyes and Predator Teeth are inherited from P. Carnifex, are include in accordance with http://www.bay12forums.com/smf/index.php?topic=182406.msg8531198#msg8531198, and do not count towards the number of new adaptations (unless the information provided by yourself and Maximum Spin in http://www.bay12forums.com/smf/index.php?topic=182406.msg8531198#msg8531198 is incorrect...).

In the case of C. Saliens, the first adaptation is Grasping Claws, the second adaptation is Sprinting Speed, and the third adaptation is Sneaking Stealth.  Again, Predator Eyes and Predator Teeth are inherited from P. Carnifex (see notes above).

Also, where is C. anhelans going, exactly? The only temparate desert is too small, for it, and while it can go to the dunes at north, it will be at a significant competitive disadvantage if anyone elses predator goes there with warm climate preference.

It was going to region 6.  I'll delete it (I already had misgiving concerning the efficacy of the Panting Breath adaptation in a Desert biome).

Please include which region you are sending your new species to, pls. Just include the region in general.

Will do!

Edit:  clarified that the species information at the top of the post is for reference only and does not add, delete, or modify any species.

-snip-

A species can have 3 adaptations, nothing more. C.anhelans still has 4 of them.

Where is the 4th adaptation?  Please list all adaptations of C. anhelans that aren't inherited from P. Carnifex.   Also, if you had checked the post where I defined the new species for the turn, you would have seen that I have deleted C. Anhelans.

It's not three ADDED. It's three TOTAL. Including inheritance.

It seems that I have misinterpreted a previous reply from Maximum Spin.

I have deleted C. Saliens and removed Strong Sense of Smell from V. Sylvestris (as it put the total number of non-leg adaptations to over three).  Does everything check out now?
