Gongon writhes. Gongon doesn't remember existing. Gongon is pretty sure they don't exist. All is as it should be. Praise the Gods that are not.
There is a slight "pop" as dozens of horribly squirming and whirring eyes and drumming and pulsating ears and shells and cochleas detach from Gongon's insensate bulk, in gory explosions of blood and oil. Writhing maggot-livers crawl their free from Gongon's see-through flesh, and its various piping tubes and buzzing speakers abandon it to live independent existences. Antennae drop like balding hair, and noses shrivel up and fall out.
Gongon mumbles and drools and as the eyes ignite and with a pale and hungry witch-fire, using all memory and sanity that see as fuel to keep themselves alight, thus forming the clutch of Gomoons, whose exact number keep fluctuating between 6 and 18, never staying quite constant, blinking in and out of existence, yet always unnoticed when blinking, as they circle and stare at whatever world is created, shining a hungry light upon life, yet burning away at the knowledge/memory/instinct and reason of all exposed to their rays.
Gongon auditory apparatus self-assembles into a dizzyingly elaborate structure, a massive signal tower roost, which roots itself in whatever world is created, reaching out into the heavens. Here the Gomoons and Remorse rest periodically amidst their sky sojourns. Here too mortals can climb up, and hear the whispers of the conversations of the gods, and request/demand divine audiences by sacrificing their sight and most precious memory to the Gomoons. Climbing and remaining in the heavenly signal tower is incredibly spiritually and mentally draining, and intrepid climbers often return insane strangers who can remember little of themselves before the climb, but return with eldritch and forbidden divine knowledge. The HST is always visible on the horizon, and takes merely a days travel for any mortal to reach if they deliberately travel towards it. Further heavenly creations (planes, moons, suns, comets, constellations etc.) probably also roost on the HST.
Gongon's rotors and motors and useless flippers rain like a horrible storm across every inch of everything, before drilling into the flesh of reality like some sort of terrible parasite... waiting. When the first death comes, their horrible prophesied purpose will be revealed, as they suck up all that makes that life itself, its self and memory and mind, from its dead shell, and delivers it to the ever hungry maw of Gongon, who will happily feast, stripping away all memory and mind and knowledge from the dead, before snorting out the empty moult as a snot bubble, to land on the world, a blank soul furnish new life with.
The liver-maggots and rogue filtering cages who had fought their way free from Gongon congregate into several hundred thousand strange nests of pulsating livery goodness, who do
something, no one is really sure what, slowly fading in and out of reality, as suddenly the primordial Gomagic system seeps into everything like a foul odour you can't get rid of. Gomagic is powered by knowledge and reason, with less powerful effects being able to be accomplished by for example, burning books, or sacrificing scholars, with the most powerful effects coming from the self-sacrifice of the caster. Gomagic is powerful and versatile, allowing for teleportation, biomanipulation, resurrection, healing, pleas to contact the gods, telekinesis, elemental manipulation, divining knowledge from Gongon (Gongon has no knowledge), erasing sanity and/or memory from target(s), making the harvest bountiful, good luck, bad luck, enchanting items with various powers and planar travel. Elaborately drawn ritual shapes of no particular geometric significance, and filled with meaningless runes and symbols, made of precious materials and long elaborate chants of completely and deliberately meaningless babble are common in Gomagic. Extensive study of how Gomagic works makes you worse at Gomagic. Hundreds of sapients must be sacrificed to achieve limited planar travel.
Gongon's heavy breath forms the mists and fogs of the Season of Forget. During the Season of Forget, it is an uphill battle to form new memories, learn new skills, and acquire new knowledge. Constant effort must be made to remind yourself of things you care about, refresh on important knowledge, and continuously hone your current skills, or you begin to lose them and they degrade.
The horrible piping voices of Gongon form the grating babbling winds of the Season of Lunace. During the season of Lunace the moons, if any, are particularly prominent, visible and large and influential. In addition, thinking beings will randomly flout social norms and their own moral code and sense of reason to act in ways that are completely random and insane. This becomes more frequent if they are exposed to moonlight.
