Yes the T = dQ/dS definition is fun - it gives rise to negative temperature in some scenarios xD

Negative temperatures which are "hotter" than any positive one! Which somehow starts making sense again when you use beta instead!

And as usual we side tracked with tangential pedantry -
ah, but how well-worn and homely are the paths we tread here

For instance, the limit of 2x/x as x approaches zero is zero.  The limit of (2x/x)+2 as x approaches zero is 2.

Sorry devatator , I'm not intended to offend you, but if the x approaches zero, the limit of 2x/x might be 2 , accordingly the limit of (2x/x)+2 as x appoaches zero is 4. :-\

I learnt about the limit during this term in the advanced mathematics class , I almostly forgot how to explain it since we don't need maths knowledge any more , but you can solve it with the Robita's Law.

Yeah, I messed up with the example.  x/x approaches 1, 2x/x approaches 2, and 4x/x approaches 4.  You can set up different formulae to get any limit you want for dividing by zero.

It already makes complete sense on its own when you realize that it basically means that temperatures are on the real projective line.

This thread title brought my mind back to 2007 memes
...it took me back to the "Infinity+1=Yellow" discussions on an old BBBS of my past acquaintance. But you probably had to be there...

As for infinities, there's already some pretty good mathematical consensus on what 'degrees of infinity' there might be, when you strain the boundries. Aleph-null, aleph-prime, et al... But it's hard to fit them in with attempts at /0ing.

Though the biggest question with /0, I think, is what specific value 0/0 is...

It's clearly 1.

...'clearly'. (Or, equally clearly zero or some brand of infinity or...)
