I lay down and make carnage angels in the remains of the other ticks.

Van once again tries to stab the tick with its sword.

Murder last tick.

The last tick remains murdered despite the efforts from both you and your sweet ride.

I lay down and make carnage angels in the remains of the other ticks.

Last tick is stabbed, you narrowly miss the gap between its exoskeleton plates but still do damage through the thicker armor.

Van once again tries to stab the tick with its sword.

This time you succeed! The tick explodes erasing all the shame of your previous failures.

BATTLE OVER!

I lay down and make carnage angels in the remains of the other ticks.

The remains of the ticks are quite uncomfortable due to all the pointy bits left in the explosion. You now smell like death. Hopefully the giant predators in this forest are the kind that are repulsed by the smell of dead things not the kind that are attracted to it.

try to pre-emptively loot the dead ticks, knowing that all George is going to get is bloody tick paste

You start the long process of looting, presumably being helped by someone else at some point (or maybe just being watched a lot of your friends are kinda lazy)

Tick 1: Bloody Tick Paste (30G)
Tick 2: Bloody Tick Paste (30G)
Tick 3: Damage Tick Heart (120G)
Tick 4: Bloody Tick Paste (30G)
Tick 5: Bloody Tick Paste (30G)
Tick 6: Bloody Tick Paste (30G)

Overall looters find 270G worth of loot. Most of this is indeed tick paste that you spent 10 minutes per tick fitting into whatever packages you are willing to get dirty, but given your knowledge and the fact the ticks could restore their own flesh you are pretty sure that this could make some sweet healing potions and someone would be willing to buy them as raw resources. In one of the less exploded ticks you manage to pull out half a heart, which is probably a more valuable reagent then the dirty goop the others left behind.

Lysia looks on guiltily, having done nothing of value in the fight, but at least she can help participate in the dismantiling of the ticks, making sure we get as much as possible from them.

It is encrusted with sharkmist and HMRC. On the item is an image of HMRC and Pancaek. Pancaek is laughing. The HMRC is melting. The artwork relates to the encasing of the HMRC in metal by Pancaek during the Mission of Many People.))

Ethan, on the contrary, would like to be of help but isn't even watching, just looking away queasily because this is really pretty gross.

Van works calmly and patiently to stem any bleeding of its internal fluids watching the dead tick's remains as it works. "I don't think I like insects very much," Van quietly announces.

Make face paint out of bits of dead tick.

Lanith noticed Kyros with tick bodyparts stuck to his face. "Why did you do that? Not only is it gross but these tick bodyparts sell for a lot. You better not be wasting those."

"I'm not.  Making art out of the corpses of your enemies is never a waste."

"I guess not. I just thought, runefolk live a long time, maybe he knows more about, uh, ticknology than me.

Also I'm choosing not to acknowledge what you're doing for the sake of friendship, Kyros.

"You can never err when acting for friendship's sake.  Except for maybe when you commit murder.  Or arson.  Or kidnapping.  So maybe there are a few ways to err."
