Author Topic: Don't remove add button for suggested work order condition after adding it  (Read 273 times)

Sometimes, the item type, the material, and the adjectives of a suggested work order condition are exactly right for the item that you want to count, but you want to test whether the count is in a range, so you need to add the condition twice - once for the lower bound and once for the upper bound.

Adding it the first time is easy - there's an add button next to it - but when you've added it once, the add button is taken away, so adding it the second time is harder.

Provided that the condition doesn't use any secret item types, materials, or adjectives, you can add it again using the obvious method of adding a generic condition, setting the item type, setting the material, and setting the adjectives.

But if the condition does use secret item types, materials, or adjectives, discovering how to add it a second time takes a little lateral thinking. You have to add an irrelevant adjective to the instance of the condition that you already added. That tricks it into bringing back the add button, which you can then use to add your second instance of the condition. And don't forget to remove the irrelevant adjective from the first instance of the condition when you're finished.

None of this trickery would be necessary if the add button had never been taken away in the first place.

Wouldn’t it be better to make sure there are no “secret item types, materials, or adjectives”?

Really hoping somebody puts this in their signature.
