NJW, you've never played beside me before. What best convinces me is explaining your choices and thoughts, as you made them. You did X because you thought Y. Step by step.
If you feel town to me, I move to protect you. If you are town, be clear, specific, and explain your choices regarding what you said about the page, every thing you said about it, your waffles, and why you didn't take my townie outs and still waffle. There may be discussion. There may be a lot of discussion. If there's a time of day that works best for you, great. Tell me and I'll be sure to be there for it (hope you don't pick 4 AM my time, if you do, you're worth it in case you're town).

I have the bible page. I should keep it to redirect the kill to me… I might ask for that apple as I can’t be 100% sure I’ll live. People treating it like a cursed item is weird: someone will get hit by the mafia kill, this just lets us control it.
I wishboned toony and FoU and somehow lost the wishbone doing that… I don’t get it but maybe somebody else will. Mechanical speculation unlikely to be crucial to the win in a closed game let alone a BYOR.
Busy now due to work. Max and Toony obviously not looking great after D1, need to read further. Especially interested in the first time there were votes on Web and people swung off him.
I say I have the bible page. I need some time to make a judgement on whether to ask for the apple - it would be double protection, so possibly unnecessary, but it would make controlling the kill more likely to go well. It's a complicated issue because there are a lot of unknowns.
Imp: that's good to know, and I understand on the apple front. I think there's a reasonable chance I survive the night, and otherwise we don't get to absorb the kill, making this endless faffing about with the bible page pointless. I need to ask the GM something, it might be very counterproductive for me to have an apple in fact.
I need to check some stuff about the apple and the kill. You're not 100% on giving me the apple, and I think have said this.

I suggest trading an apple for a non-book artefact, as I've concluded the apple works ok with my role, and would help on the protection front. This would let you give up some protection for a chance to influence the game more, if I'm remembering correctly. You post too much for me to go through your posts to check this. I can't remember what your stance was on giving up the apple.

I don't think there’s much of a difference between scum and SK for my roles purposes. It’s unlikely but possible that one of them could kill me.

I give you the six shooter, and explain why I want the apple, because you're getting paranoid about it, and I
think said at this point you didn't want to give it up. I was interested in the apple because I could use it N2 and use my own protection N3 onwards, thus extending the time the page is guaranteed to be useful for. My own protection is chaotic and potentially unreliable. I've said this.
I haven't had a chance, at this point, to work out whether or not it's reasonable to
demand the apple. And I would probably demand it if I genuinely felt it was our best chance of stopping an extra nightkill with no drawbacks.
Imp: I honestly can't reveal that much, or even that this will work at all. It's fairly likely to work, but I make no promises.
This is just how it is, I think I've been open about this. I'm not telling scum in-thread how my protection works.
Imp: sorry if you've already answered this, but in your hands, the bible page may not still redirect kills to the holder. As such, you may not be able to stop a kill with the apple you hold. Am I right in thinking you believe your having the bible page and the apple is more important than the chance to prevent a nightkill?
This post set you off. And yeah, it wasn't that well written, but it doesn't justify the random swing, godawfully huge paragraphs, endless questions and speculations with near-zero attempts to actually engage with what I've been saying.
I asked about your rationale for being willing to take the page at some point, but not to give up the apple. Because that means you thought it was less important to have extra chances to control and block the nightkill THAN FOR YOU TO KEEP THE APPLE AND USE THE PAGE'S POWER. You're more willing to take the page than give up the apple. Or at least that's what I'm getting from the endless paragraphs that make up this thread.
And I don't give a shit about whatever "outs" you gave me on the apple front and then subsequently closed, you're half the reason I can't keep up with the thread or spend long enough on this game to put a reasoned out strategy together, because I have to keep reading the garbage everyone posts. As far as I'm concerned, you don't get to attach arbitrary time limits to stuff. You want to keep the apple, that's 100% your decision, and nothing to do with me missing stuff from this thread. And that's what I was asking you about.
I didn't ask you to take the page. I don't know how you came to that conclusion. I can understand not finding the post I made very comprehensible, but thinking I'm trying to get you to take the page makes no sense in the context of me asking if you think one thing is more important than another. I'm not trying to weasel out of taking the page, or hypnotise you into taking it, or... whatever else is going on in your head. I may have phrased something poorly, but your complete failure to ask for clarification or interrogate my motives before assuming them and posting dozens of times about it is on YOU.

I don’t know what you mean about questions for NQT. I asked about you being willing to take the bible page even though it may not draw the kill to you, when there is the option to block the kill n3 by giving both to idk, Crystallized or whatever.
I can’t be certain I’ll block the kill. But there’s a pretty good chance. This is all I can know.
I explain that I was asking about your willingness to defuse the bible page over giving up the apple. This is something that it's reasonable for me to ask about, because you're willing to prioritise your having the apple over potential to cancel the mafiakill. This only makes sense if you can do something very good with the page, or think you're the most important player in the game.
As my play today has very clearly shown, I DON'T THINK GIVING THE PAGE TO YOU IS A GOOD IDEA OR SOMETHING I WANT TO HAPPEN.

What will happen when a mafia kill hits me is not something I can ask NQT and receive an answer for because it involves details of the setup that I do not know. I can ASK NQT who the mafia are. He won’t tell me. I can ask him what will happen tonight if a kill is used. He won’t tell me. That’s all you get to know. It’s uncertain. If I don’t block the kill, I probably die.
I’m pretty sure you specifically said that you don’t know if you can force the kill onto you with the bible page. Correct me if I’m wrong. I don’t think you’ve suggested giving the page and the apple to someone else, but as far as I can tell you haven’t.
So as far as I can tell, I’m the only one with any kind of plan to stop the kill. Hence my asking if you had explicitly made the judgement that any alternative wasn’t worth you giving up the apple.
I explain that you don't need to be "disgusted" with my not endlessly pestering NQT about my protection, because I understand how it works, there are just unknowns. Which is what any remotely charitable interpretation of my posts would show, rather than coming to the conclusion that I have no idea how my abilities work and have never bothered asking.
