Probably just paranoia, and a deep look at the spheres, and I've seen other games where someone suddenly had 2+ votes, and this seems the game for 'vote-in-the-box' surprises at any time.

Frankly, I'm not really surprised by anything I might see happen mechanically this game, day or night.  I'd be glad not to see that happen.

That is believable but (a) I think the paranoia is unhelpful and (b) it isn't reasonable to ask people not to bring anyone to L-2, seriously constraining the use of votes as a pressure tool, because someone could pull a double vote out of their pocket and surprise hammer (which would be a terrible play for town and a bad one for scum). By "ensur[ing] 0 chance of a hammer" on EJ did you mean unvoting him or just not piling any more votes on?

I'm not going to be too exacting about requiring the full item names so long as there's no ambiguity in what people think they're sending. If I have a Black Dog of Impending Doom, I can trade dog for cat and that will be checked, but if someone asks for trade cat for white dog of holy peace, then it won't go ahead as I don't have an item that matches.

Gotcha.  At that second I was not tracking votes and didn't know how many each name had when that was said.  I am trying to track a lot of different 'this changes everything' factors in my head at once and attempting Xanatos Gambit for town with a lot of unknowns.  I want the knowns covered, then I'll relax nicely, I think.  It's actually MS hammer I'm currently both worried about and think is reasonable, but for the sake of the all let's get the trades sorted first and see if we have more business.

I will attempt to be calm.  I'm not smart enough for this much Xanatos.

I swear this has already been answered. But to reiterate, trades are processed from most recent to least recent. So in this situation, C would trade with A.
