I can't glean much from Max's random RVS claims/accusations/gambits (which some players go along with and others don't).  They're all too haphazard, though I'm willing to bet that most of what is presented is deception on one level or another, whether for good or evil.

A trade requires both parties to have an item they'd be willing to offer, and promises simply aren't gonna cut it.

Trading isn't exactly a good deal for me, since I have nothing other than the things I want, and am lacking the things I do.

Although, I am willing to trade for a specific Emerald, depending on the color, my offers aren't particularly great.  I would much rather people Give me the Emmmmmeralds, but I can always earn them the hard way.

I wonder if you actually have a steal ability or if the above is just threatening bluffing with the hope of scaring others into emerald donations.  You lying about that being a factor in the game in order to steer the discussion away from important topics is also a plausible scenario, but the story seems a touch specific.

This reads as you coming up with a convincing role after assessing everything you've already stated in the thread up to this point (even including things that have been disputed by other players, like Fallacy opting to not roll with your story), instead of the other way around, i.e., you originally having this role and revealing its nature over a series of related posts.
