Are megabeasts/semimegabeasts ever friendly?

Lately I've been clobbering them with extreme prejudice. But are they ever peaceful?

Like peaceful giants visiting your tavern?  I think their [semi-]megabeast status prevents them from mingling with civilized creatures, so no.  But you can tame dragons and stuff, then they'll be peaceful to your civilians (but still hostile to the military because of a bug).
