I'll go with the Flo(rence). What I really want is robotic bees that can assassinate my enemies via social media, but pollinating is good too. Bamboo seems more useless (surely we can use modern materials for furniture?)

That's a good question. Europa has whatever supplies the settlers bring with them, or can have rocketed over, as well as an abundant supply of water. As such, a lot of the materials come from plants. There are bioplastics from corn and fiber derived from kelp, but bamboo is more efficiently grown.

(It's not actually that important for the most part, the colony will cope either way, but it does impact the feel of the settlement.)
