webadict told me to do this, so I am.

I don't think I can run BBBYOR right now for complicated reasons, and we just had a huge exhausting BYOR anyway, so... I'll try this. Supernormal is a semi-fixed setup inspired by Supernatural and Paranormal, but weirder and more dangerous. It's definitely not unbastard, but not totally bastard either. What I mean is, it's an extremely normal game and there is nothing to worry about.

I would prefer to have fewer players than Fallacy just did or else I will probably melt down, but, for apparently the first time, I'm not sick when I'm trying to start a game, so let's see whether I suddenly come down with ebola because of this. I'll take however many players I get.

I'm not going to make this too ambitious at the moment, so this is a pretty straightforward "standard mafia" action system, nothing special. Possible alignments are a surprise, but you can ask anything you want and I might even answer. I'm aiming for 48hr days and 24hr nights, not counting weekends, unless anyone strenuously objects - I'm not a fan of things dragging out too long. I'm going to go ahead and try hammers this time.

I've also decided that the only role anyone is allowed to claim is vanilla town. :)

I'll in.  Are there other rules we need to know about?

I expanded on my post a little. As an extremely disorganized thinker, though, it's entirely possible that you should ask me specific questions if I seem to have left something out.

Asking though, if you folks have the need to yell at me in game, do so, loud and proud, but pick something that is not likely to sound like I am making the game unfun for everyone.  Surely you have 1000s of other choices.  It's uncosy but acceptable for me to handle being firmly told that I am making the game personally unfun for you, and a load of people doing that is going to hit that button too.

If you wanna discuss that, please discuss it out of the thread, and not part of the game.  That's a real button, and ideally doesn't get touched in a game.  Mess with it too much, and I'll handle it the only way I can, out of game.

The biggest issue is that you talk a lot, but you don't really say much with all the words you use.  If you post shorter posts, people will be both more willing to engage with you.

The other issue I noticed was you using the same talking points over and over, including asking the same questions of people.  It didn't get you closer to a satisfactory conclusion, and it didn't get other people to join your case.

And the last issue is that you didn't really listen to anyone.  I'm not talking about me, either.  People brought up these concerns with you and you essentially ignored them, including people you knew were Town.  If you're not willing to listen to anyone in this game, then why would anyone listen to you?

You change these three things and you won't have any issues from other people.

not counting weekends
INcredible!  I guess I should still clarify: does the above entail that pausing active participation on weekends is not frowned upon?

I'm not saying you should, but you'll have time. Maybe I should even outlaw weekend hammers. According to my timezone (Eastern), of course.

Please no outlaw hammers.  Hammers are freedom.  Otherwise, we're just sitting there anyway.

Imagine if it's just a normal setup but with so much hype and confusing flavor that we assume it's semi-bastard

In, because running and playing use different brain muscles

Can't wait to roll scum again.

Would you like to play a game of Mafia? The subforum is always open to new players.
