Because Secretdorf only offered suggestions for survivors that included himself or Imp, which he already knew (and pointed out, which is scummier because it's effectively offering something to seem townie and then immediately self-destructing it) was a non-starter.

Everyone else has been basically okay with some combination of players that should be effectively game-ending for a scum player to agree with. Secretdorf, though, has coasted on being in everyone else's "okay" bag without ever needing to seriously risk not being included.

And no, for christ's sake, I'm not suggesting myself instead. Although I know I'm town, I do understand how the game works.

At this point it will just cause confusion. Secretdorf's status may just be due to two people saying they're town. We could be wrong, but that would also make this planning a waste of time. The only reaso I go with it is because I have my town reads.
I'd like Max/Secretdorf alive at the end of the day, but on day 2 I really only need one of them if I'm the other. In either case, right now looking like me or max die to the lynch?

My thoughts:

We only need two town to live.

If Max is scum, confusion's his plan here, since he still dies.

If Sec is scum, their statements of evaluating Imp as town are odd and risky, as nobody else this game has supported that.

In that post, Sec says:

Sof doesn't mind dying as town or that's sof's last trick as scum.
That if Sof is town, more likely to Sec that Max is scum, but for reasons of Max's behavior than sof's behavior.
Still slightly suspects Tric but says Tric isn't trying to win as scum.

Scum doesn't need to care which town goes down.  Sec seems to care.

If we're wrong about who survives, we lose.  I still lean Sec as town, higher than needed risk to think I'm town, not a good scum play for Sec.

if Max is scum, sof surviving instead of Sec, no advantage (if we still lynch Max) for Max.

Max, are you also suggesting we lynch Sec?  Or just shoot?

I don't think we change plan.  But if we do, no need not to lynch Max, and if we switch Sec for Sof, we are **not** switching Tric for Max who came up with this plan.

Honestly, though, I think you, of all players, are most likely to be able to credibly fake self-sacrifice, so you're the one from whom being "willing to be the lynch" is least trustworthy.

Well, anyway, the point of this process is to exclude from survivorship the people who most seem to want it. So... I guess that actually means I should want Imp and sofanthiel to be the survivors? I don't know, though, Imp has been so noncommittal about the idea of the plan up to this point that it's easy for me to suspect that that's hoping for a last-minute rearrange just like that. If it comes down to who I would feel most comfortable losing to if I'm wrong... then I want TricMagic and sofanthiel to be the survivors. Sorry. I just feel like Evil Tric deserves a win sometimes.

I disagree. This game became about finding town, not about finding scum, and evaluating you as town ended up being a good way to stay in everyone's town list.

If, hypothetically, Secret was scum, he'd want to secure his place among the two survivors by putting up a facade of caring about which of us die.

Remember that the whole point of this process is to find the person who most wants to be on the survivor list, because that's exactly where scum need to be to survive. Secretdorf is the only one who has never offered a credible alternative.

Sof wants Max alive more than Tric.  And would like sof and sec switched, but earlier said

If it were completely up to me, Secret and I would be the ones waking up tomorrow, but I'm fairly confident that the killer is either Imp or Tric, so I'm willing to let Max take my place.

Sof, you're still good on Sec, right?

We only need 2 town survivors.

Our only job is make sure the survivors are town.  Who the scum is, we can let go, as long as the survivors are town.

Are you that sure that Tric gets us dead?
