So what some of you probably don't know about me is that I think GOG is a better platform (for the gamers at least, though I heard also for developers) so here are some of my favorite games, that are also on GOG (and won't break the bank):
everyhing in this bundle (I don't love all the games, but you can't beat 7 games for 12 bucks)
Namely:
Darksiders III: Deluxe
Elex
Greedfall: Gold
Kingdom Come: Deliverance (I guess this one comes without DLCs. They are currently on sale at 69-75% off though)
Thronebreaker: the Witcher tales
Vampyr
Wasteland:Colorado Collection
As well as:
Battle Brothers
Dark Eye: Chains of the Satinav (you'll have to wade through this one if you want to play it's immediate sequel...)
Dark Eye: Memoria (which is one of my favorite adventure games)
Darkest Hour: a hearts of iron game (spent so many hours in HOI2 and this is probably the best one)
Divinity:Original Sin (Before there was Baldur's Gate 3... this was how Larian made their bones.)
Fallout 2 (the best fallout)
Mount and Blade: Warband (I don't know how good the mod support is on GOG, but even the vanilla version is really good and one of my favorites)
Syberia Collection (TBH I only played the first 2 games, but I really liked them)
Terraria (not one of my favorites, but a pretty popular game this year)
Unavowed (if you like Point and Click adventures and you like "urban" fantasy this will be a match made in heaven)

You can do manual installs of mods for Mount & Blade: Warband. It's not too difficult and some mods don't have steam workshop equivalents. Mount & Blade: Warband is an absolute must have for anyone who hasn't picked it up yet.
