I'll never forget my pre-deceasor, the Esteemed Webadict's first reads, but throwing in both of these, because reasons.
NotQuiteTownies:
BlackHeartKabal - Literally black-hearted and in a cabal.
notquitethere - "gotta protect myself from the super inspect!!!"
N1:
I blocked/marked Imp. I thought we covered this.
Wasn't claimed D2, was claimed D3. Reason given too:
N2:
BHK, please confirm to the other players that you were caught in a web. This will be quite distinct from any bomb you might have been given. I would think you should have been informed of it.
I wasn't. Someone visited me, my soul rested in the presence of the living, and I came to with a bomb bolted onto the hood of my racecar. That's it.
I believe them both about N2. I also believe them about N1, it explains the roleblock that I know happened, the status that I know I gained (and immediately lost, with Esteemed Toonyman's claim of why)
I also believe N3 they got visited, perhaps by redirection, and were unable to do nothing, if they were honest about their D3 claim of being visited by a living player means they don't have a night game.
Can we think about that for a minute? That's one heck of a restriction. This makes little sense, unless they're so powerful in some other way. I think I see 'not anti-town' here. I'm okay with this one.
Here's their claimed reads, given on D3, and their advice to me when I initially stated I intended to target them N3:
I intend to inspect the Esteemed BlackHeartKabal tonight, which should pin that one and gain me information without much or any price. It may not be worth it for another to follow, because there is potential price for any other living player.
I recommend against announcing intended inspects, considering the deal with Tric and the seeming abundance of millers.
In terms of reads -
Firm Town camp -
hector13 - As again, I have a fair confidence in him. He hasn't done anything I have a particular distaste or suspicion for.
Maximum Spin - Webadict and Jim's mason, apparently.
Lenglon - Again, not a suspicious person, if a bit overeager to policy.
Toony - The trusty bus miller that was willing to sacrifice themselves. Again, not really suspicious at all, and verifiable.
Jim - Webadict and Spin's mason.
Town Lean -
Imp: Why do I want to trust you, but still feel that small bit of suspicion that keeps me from wanting to confirm you in my mind, even after our cordial interaction?
Canadian - They've been more active and scumhunting. Not shifty enough to go either way.
Parade - If they've claimed, I might have overlooked it. There's nothing to really verify with them, but they've been acting decently independently and haven't done much scummy.
Ambivalence and the Unknown -
Knightwing - mimir
Mire - Hasn't posted, and could go either way. I should pay more attention to her.
notquitethere - I don't know, at all. The lack of webbing is suspect, but maybe it's because anyone visiting me stops my actions, blanket?
Sofanthiel, of course, must die.
I note only 12 names there, on D3 when counting the banished, there are 14 in play. The missing name is Esteemed Secretdorf. I think this is NAI for Esteemed BlackHeartKabal. He wasn't the only one to claim to barely notice Esteemed Secretdorf:
Another Dorf hiding the fact that they're playing forum mafia by not posting. Congrats, I almost forgot you existed.
Yeah, thanks for noticing me, I guess.
But that one so early, that's just an RVS... the reaction is maybe real though.
About targetting me D1:
upon my own death, makes them a valid target for a one-shot kill.
Who does the one-shot?
And why'd you choose to mark/roleblock me N1? The thinking/reasoning, please, of me as your pick.
I do the one-shot. It fails if I try to target someone without the mark, so I can only really lean on the people I roleblock to target for that potentiality, unless I have a particularly educated guess as to who might have visited me after I die. For roleblocking you, I have to admit I had future potential application of the mark in mind - which is, to say, if I were a pure roleblocker, I don't think I'd consider you as highly rated a candidate, especially since I dislike "hipshoooting" N1. Hell, you still weren't my first candidate, that was Tric. Your chat restrictions at the time made you hard to discern, and I highly suspected you to be a third party. That, and your unsubtle and odd urging for the SK to target the pirate team, as much as I hate to operate on vibes alone, left a bad enough feeling for me to disrupt you. I don't 100% think blocking you is what prevented a second kill on the first night, at least.
Following this, Sofanthiel is likely not a pirate. You, in turn, would be encouraged to follow the Jack wagon, unless you were scum and wanted to take out opposing scum - but then you wouldn't have dared make that hint regarding SK and pirates unless you somehow predicted this exact conclusion.
I don't have an independent wincon, I'm town. I'm simply very much aware, from experience, that even if we do eliminate all scum, it takes one third party going unnoticed long enough to jeopardize us last minute, so I've been trying my best to investigate on that angle.
Feels reasonable to me. This is not anti-town thinking or behavior. A bit of a high focus on third parties; I'm just as focused, especially was early game. I'd be glad to keep a hunter of scum or serial killers around, they could be a survivor hunter, and they could be town. I don't think I see Serial Killer or scum behavior here.
I don't like this being said. This is the scummiest thing to me right here:
Unvote
I think that the shot on Tric was good, considering their role.
I remember Esteemed Egan_BW's reaction too:
Yes! Hahaha, yes!
Tric was SK anyways. Basically.
