What I see in this:
- Never used the grant votecount, avoided doing so every time offered, very iffy about that one.
- Stated could have 6 votes by end of D3, seemed comfortable with 6 votes back when he had 1. Method of gain would be <8 voters on the elimination+granting votecount each day. causing +2 votes per day.
- Claims will die if they ever have 7 votes.
- Claimed to do something, then nothing, N2.
- Vote additions are permanent (later stated that vote theft isn't permanent unless the person dies, later stated by something other than a modkill)
- that day kill is a veng, no it's not, needs the lynch, no it doesn't, but always that it takes someone with them.
- split their votes willingly, later said they prefer not to do that.
-- claims they should only have 4 votes today, if it is true the Esteemed Jim Groovester stole his vote. Said 'would ask'.
I will also say this: if at some point you need a votecount (and you are not EuchreJack), feel free to ask me, if I see the request before mamobo or fallacy do, I'll do it, you know, out of goodwill.
Complying with a player's request for a votecount grants me a benefit which will become apparent once I actually do that.
...
I said I would not do this service for Jack because he was reacting to everyone's posts in a funny way, and I figured he would ask me for a votecount if I offered, even though Mamobo had done one just a few posts ago.
...Anyway, I would like to request that, if not too inconvenient, any chosen player not be hammered until number for hammer plummets down to seven, and upon day end, at time of execution, only be voted by seven players maximum.
As for why, it grants a benefit which will be obvious soon after we do that.
About my request(not placing more than seven votes when lynching), I will claim, since soon it's going to be obviousanyway, I will gain a vote every time the condition is met. I also gain an additional vote every time I post a vote count when one has been asked for. I have may or may not have other ways of gaining votes which I am reluctant to use. These additions are permanent. They also prove I am town, as, I am sure you can imagine, a Mafioso having so many votes would be OP.
(This is the sixth vote on Jack)
Possibly related:It does not help either that before this, I have not been voted even once, so I have been feeling, in a way, complacent and disengaged.[/ramble]
Possibly related:I was really hoping two or three people would die.
Possibly related:I just thought anti-town parties would kill one or two people, depending on how many of them exist, and a town player might have a nightkill as well, so two or three seemed to me a likely number of people killed in the night. Apparently, I underestimated the number of protects in the game. Hell, there seems to be a revive too. Also, I was not being entirely serious saying that. It's just that there's a lot of people in this game, and roleflips give confirmed information, which (arguably) makes figuring the remaining people much easier, so I was kinda looking forward to the roleflips.
I do not have any specific preferences although it would be bad to lose Webadict, Jim or lenglon. They seem most likely town to me. I did not think I would be killed because I have not claimed any threatening abilities and people in general are finding me pretty suspicious so mafia would probably want to use me as a mislynch.
Max: I cultivate the Dao of votes. I submitted random nonsense and got that...
Imp:My role's not even remotely related with Death or anything like that.
I'll rather not claim my night action . It is not related with other people's claimed actions and is not helpful in deciphering what happened last night. However, if someone still wants me to claim, I will.
I was unconcerned but that was because who dies in the night is independent of my concern. Should I have pretended otherwise?
...
Urge to take power: Yeah I still have 1 vote, and it's unlikely I'll be getting any today either. I'm fine with that if it helps people sleep at night.
...
The only advantage to my revealing will be that the other players can check my claim and determine whether I'm telling the truth or not. Scum will become aware of my night action though. I do not yet have any information that can help town today or any information that could help town in the coming days. So I'm gonna stay silent until somebody wants me to speak. As to why I did something that doesn't help town: I have no other choice.
Anyone that hasn't claimed yet is 10x more likely to be scum, all there is to it. We can be done here because we aren't learning anything.
I guess I should go ahead and claim then: I did nothing last night. My role's more day oriented, and my night actions have to be used at the right time, or they may cause harm rather than good.
In case it isn't obvious I stole Sofanthiel's vote. Somehow I got 2.
I also have a vote stealing ability but I didn't really see its use N1. I was planning to use it on Jim, in case Jim, web and Max scumteam intended to somehow win the game with Egan mislynch and a lot of votes but that didn't come to happen. So I figured I should steal Sofanthiel's vote. I failed to take into account that there were 2 vote thiefs and only a single Sofanthiel.
I stole the votes only so I could be cleared of making the nightkill by performing a confirmable night action. I did not expect 2 votes, only one.
Possibly related:Well I don't even know if there is a trick in the first place, I just noted that as a worst case scenario. Maybe he has two lives. Maybe he can kill somebody voting for him. Actually these two sound much more unlikely when I say them out aloud.
Possibly related:I don't think Sofanthiel's a jester. If he has an ability that harms us if we lynch him, it is almost impossible for us to pin down its true nature. It is impractical to wipe his role and then lynch him(assuming wipe's a night action, it can be redirected or blocked). We have to lynch him even if doing so is disadvantageous in some way. So we do it today.
Ah! the puzzle of the extra vote. That is one I am too dim to figure out. But I can explain my vote hoarding. As I said, if the eliminated person has 7 or less votes at the end of the day, I gain another vote. If I fulfill another player's call for a votecount, I gain another vote. If both conditions are seen to everyday, I get 2 votes daily. That's why I said I could have 6(2×3) votes after D3. Morever, I can steal somebody's vote. It is a temporary bonus... unless the theft victim dies the next day, in which case I gain the stolen votes permanently. Pretty simple, right?
So if we lynch Sofanthiel today, yes, I will have the extra 2 votes with me rest of the game, unless y'know, Jim decides to relieve me of all my votes, which is possible, and if you people are scared of so many votes being in my hand, I have no objection to 'giving' my votes to Jim, whom I very much trust.
I think he was surprised D2 because Sofanthiel Sofanthiel and NQT both have only vote each. So getting 2 from NQT was not what he expected. In the same manner I was surprised I got 2 from Sof, not because I can steal only one, but because I thought Sofanthiel has one vote, which is probably true anyway.

Possibly related:Secretdorf, if you're a day actor, then what have you been doing all these days??
Well, I didn't mean to say I had day actions. It's my votes, they're to be used during the day, so I said my role's day-phase oriented. I do have another ability but it's not time to use or claim it yet.
I'm disinclined to steal another person's vote, especially as we currently lack any obvscum targets but I can find someone to rob if a confirmable night action is instead considered more valuable.
I'm unsure because I don't want to be mean to someone who doesn't deserve it. Playing without a vote must be really boring.
Steal somebody's votes, but not votes I am going to steal.
I'll try not to.
By now, I'm really annoyed by Imp's suspicions which I do not think will be alleviated any time soon, so I just wanna say, Imp, you're free to wipe my role anytime you want. These damned votes are just not worth all the unnecessary suspicion I'm attracting. I will not be the slightest bit upset about it if it will put a stop to all the secretdorf-taking-over theories. My one-shot could be really useful in some situations, but we can probably win this game without it. Probably.
I also have a suspicion that Sofanthiel might be town, but I can't see a more promising alternative.
There's no mechanical or technical reason. I would have tried to fulfill his request if he had asked. I just didn't think he'd seriously ask for one at that time.
Esteemed EuchreJack asked you repeatedly why you refused it to him, and he even offered you one, twice.
This does not feel town to me.
I was not active around the time he asked that, and when I did read those posts, better votecounts had already been provided. I failed to clarify this to Jack, my bad.
Sofanthiel Sofanthiel Sofanthiel
Secretdorf if you tried to fucking steal the same votes I tried to steal
we are going to have a problem
What are the chances-
Yeah, I stole Knightwing's vote. It's temporary since he's not going to be lynched today. I thought he wouldn't mind it.
I remain calmly but notably concerned about the Esteemed Secretdorf.
I note that the worthy did not need to hammer for Esteemed sofanthiel to die, and that one hammered anyway, at nearly the last possible moment, so it seems unlikely to attempt to prevent any other vote shenanigans besides that one's own.
What's the purpose of having all these votes if I can't even use them? Anyway my voting did not have any mechanical purpose behind it. And I'm not going to hammer anybody. I don't know what makes you think I would. Look, I know you are concerned about my votes, and their implications if I were anti-town, but I've been inspected as town now, I didn't make the kills cuz I stole votes, and I stole votes so I could prove I didn't make the kills. So I think you should focus on people who're actually scum.
The 2 votes from sofanthiel might have something to do with 2 people banished?
Oh that was because 1 vote came from the condition(7 or less votes on lynched person) being fulfilled.
It's sort of come to this. So I'll claim this: If I get 7 votes, my cultivation becomes unbalanced and I die. Does that help?
SecretDorf: Are you willing to not steal another vote for this night?
Yeah, I'm not going to. If I accidently get 2, I'm dead.
Imp, I'm very annoyed at this point, and I am also fucking tired of defending myself. This bandwagon is reminding me of your attitude towards Tricmagic in the AFM game, where you kept saying Tric wasn't town cuz he wasn't scumhunting, but in the end you were scum. In that game too, you made so much effort at scumhunting and making game winning plans, that I was completely convinced you were town. I fear the same might be the case here.
I have a vengekill. If I'm lynched I'm going to use it on you or BHK.
This is fucking dumb.
Okay, to be clear, Secretdorf will definitely have another vote tomorrow (unless Jim steals it) and will almost certainly have the majority of votes tomorrow.
Honestly. Let's just.
Secretdorf, please give me two vote counts to resolve this once and for all.
Only once per day. And I'm not interested in more votes.
I have a vengekill. If I'm lynched I'm going to use it on you or BHK.
Triggers on death or lynch or kill?
Lynch.
I think I should explain my oneshot. It isn't really a vengekill. It's a day ability. I die and a person that I choose is killed at the end of the day.
Esteemed Secretdorf, do you think we should we lynch the Esteemed Knightwing64 today?
If he doesn't post at all, he's as good a choice as any. I hope that will not be the case here, because I'll be one little step closer to death.
I didn't steal votes last night. I had 5 at the end of yesterday. If Jim stole one of mine I should have 4.
I gain a vote upon fulfilling a vote count request and upon the lynch having 7 or less votes on him at day end. That's an auto. If I get 7 votes, temporary or permanent, I die.
I can steal a person's votes for the next day. If that person dies(except via modkill) the next day, the gain is permanent.
And the one-shot. The Demonic Vote-Eating Technique. It's a day ability. I gain a purple vote and whoever I vote in purple in thread is killed after the lynch as am I killed.
I'd be okay doing Max but we should lynch him too, in case he has kill immunity.
Secretdorf: No, seriously, why did you do that?
It was easier to say vengekill than to go on babbling about some weird power. Anyway, they're effectively the same thing.
I gain a vote ... upon the lynch having 7 or less votes on him at day end
I didn't steal votes last night. I had 5 at the end of yesterday. If Jim stole one of mine I should have 4.
BlackHeartKabal (5): Elephant Parade, The Canadian kitten, Maximum Spin, hector13, Jim Groovester
BlackHeartKabal was executed.
Am I seeing an inconsistency/incompatibility here with your claim or your math?
I had five at start of yesterday. I gained one from the lynch, but I lost the Knightwing one I had stolen, cuz modkill doesn't count. So I had 5 at end of day, Jim stole one, so I should have 4.
I don't have a vengekill. Only the powers that I claimed.
Maybe Jim's lying or his action failed or something. I'll ask Fallacy if this is correct.
Also, Imp, please violate the restriction. Otherwise, I also refuse to use my ability.
Break the restriction or I'm taking you with me. Man, I'm really enjoying this.
Once I've chosen my target, they die even if I am executed. Therefore, I offered Imp that if they doubt the existence of my ability, I may be lynched as well just to be sure I'm not just bluffing to live another day.
I'm not going to use the kill today, not while things stand as they do. I did intend to use it when I claimed so before, but at that time, I was under the impression that there are only two or three anti-town remaining, and that we've nearly won the game. Now, I don't want to leave it to chance.
Unfortunately, I fell asleep before end of day. I totally intended to vote BHK, it's just that I prefer to use all my votes at the same time, in order to prevent confusion due to votes being scattered among multiple posts, and I don't want to accidentally hammer somebody.
