Assuming here that Merchant is changed to "generate 1 tea or 1 rad"

Another wall option.

Quote
Wall of Flesh
0-Cost
Black/Green
Critter - Wall
 - Wall - Can't attack
 - Guardian - Your opponent cannot attack Critters you control without Guardian
 - Each time You gain Rads, Wall of Flesh gains +0/+10
0s/20v
Common

I think it fits our engine better than Wall of Slime. More squishy at first, but that shouldn't last long.

Just wanted to share my recent experience with the Rusty Golem and the Steel Golem in a test match against Kashyyk – it was nothing short of fantastic.

Quote from: Steel Golem
Common Black Critter
4 Rad

Attack 60
Vitality 90

Dropping a rusty / steel golems on the table alongside a field hospital had the waifus in complete despair. Even the mechs couldn't rescue them, and I didn't even have to unleash my incoming spore colonies to wrap up the game.

Now, you might question the wisdom of a basic, no-ability design for the steel golem. Counterintuitive as it may seem, I believe that having perfectly-statted basic critters to round out our decks will be a valuable asset for the entire game. Plus, let's face it, if you design Immutable critters you're asking for it.

The Bubble of Radiation provides great tempo, and the Merchant Marine, doubling as a flexible tea/rad producer, opens up numerous possibilities for more tea-based cards in the future. It also acts as a strategic dodge against heavy sticky removal.

As for Treason, I'm a bit torn on that one, sorry a1s. It's the kind of card that's likely to induce some serious salt and might end up getting nerfed into oblivion. What are your thoughts on this?

Let's discuss - I'm convinced that these mundane golems are a powerhouse design that can greatly contribute to our success in upcoming matches.

I believe we can justify more Vitality than typical for your Golems. Black/Steel is all about durability, so paying slightly less than one potential point t per Vitality point seems reasonable to me.

Otherwise yes. There were many times where I could have blkilled a golem, but it would've cost too many Critters, and leave me open to retaliation. I wonder if I had a better draw I could've dealt with it, but that's not a helpful avenue to follow.

It genuinely felt like a game of MtG where only one side got to discard damage at the end of a turn.

Treason is great and that makes it terrible? I guess you're right. I really wanted to write a card that would use tea creatively.

Quote
Name: Bribery
Cost: 1 Rads
Image:
Color: Red
Type: Trick
Effect:
Target card without a rebellion threshold gains the effects "Gain one rebellion counter each turn. Rebellion threshold 3". As an additional cost to play this card you must pay an amount of tea equal to the target card's rad cost. This card bypasses immutable and can target cards even if other effects would otherwise prevent that card from being targeted.
Flavor text: "I've seen fortresses that can withstand any violence thrown against it, but never one that could withstand the right amount of coin being put into the right hand,"
Strength-vitality: N/A
Rarity: Common

Name: Deceptive Demagogue
Cost: 1 Rads

Color: Red
Type: Critter
Effect:
Once per turn you may put a total of two extra rebellion counters on cards with a rebellion threshold. Whenever a rebellion threshold is triggered draw a card.
Flavor text: Some people thrive on disorder and upheaval and some of those are masters at fueling it.
Strength-vitality: 10s / 40v
Rarity: Rare

How does this sound:
Quote
Name: Treason
Cost: 1 rad
Image:
Type: Trick
Colour: red
Effect: pay X tea to take control of target critter, where X is its rad cost. It gains "Rebellion threshold 0" and "at the end of your turn you may pay 1 tea, if you don't add a rebellion counter to this card".
This card's cost is considered to be the sum of it's tea and rad costs.
Flavour: Welcome to the right side of history
Rarity: Common

So, after more test games and GM feedback:

Quote from: votebox
(3) Lightning Rod: a1s, fallacy, Quarque
(2) Merchant Marine: a1s, Quarque
(1) Treason: Quarque
(1) Bubble of Radiation: a1s
(1) Martini-Henry rifles: Jerick
(2) Fabrication Drone: Fallacy, Jerick
(1) Chrome Metamorph: Fallacy
(2) Ramshackle Reactor: Fallacy, Jerick
(3) Rusty Golem: Quarque, Jerick, a1s

Still in love with the Steel Golem but Ushibo is a weaker stand-in for now.

Appeal:Assualt Unit Mecha Chan
Immutable is a very powerful effect and it gets exponentially more powerful the higher the value since the number of cards it excludes expands. Cards with higher value immutable are much harder to deal with and much harder to effect. Thus immutable should be a pretty massive blow to a card's potential. Assualt Unit Mecha chan has perfect stats for it's cost and immutable 4. This is a lot of power in a single card. And it is relatively cheap.

I would still like some quickplay Rad Generators, but otherwise I'm happy to jump on the bandwagon.
