Just wanted to share my recent experience with the Rusty Golem and the Steel Golem in a test match against Kashyyk – it was nothing short of fantastic.
Common Black Critter
4 Rad
Attack 60
Vitality 90
Dropping a rusty / steel golems on the table alongside a field hospital had the waifus in complete despair. Even the mechs couldn't rescue them, and I didn't even have to unleash my incoming spore colonies to wrap up the game.
Now, you might question the wisdom of a basic, no-ability design for the steel golem. Counterintuitive as it may seem, I believe that having perfectly-statted basic critters to round out our decks will be a valuable asset for the entire game. Plus, let's face it, if you design Immutable critters you're asking for it.
The Bubble of Radiation provides great tempo, and the Merchant Marine, doubling as a flexible tea/rad producer, opens up numerous possibilities for more tea-based cards in the future. It also acts as a strategic dodge against heavy sticky removal.
As for Treason, I'm a bit torn on that one, sorry a1s. It's the kind of card that's likely to induce some serious salt and might end up getting nerfed into oblivion. What are your thoughts on this?
Let's discuss - I'm convinced that these mundane golems are a powerhouse design that can greatly contribute to our success in upcoming matches.
