Elephant Parade left our team about the same time (because he thought that we're so much better than team 1 that it won't even be a fair fight) so we're still basically even.

Both teams are a little bit lethargic. Team two just gained a member, so at this point team one is slightly more in need.

Anyway, I'm hoping to resolve the third batch of cards tomorrow (~22 hours), though that's not a hard deadline.

Well, the first round of battles is nearing its conclusion. I will try to port the logs over to the forum at some point, if folks don't want to visit the Discord to see the results (although doing so is pretty straightforward).

I would suggest that both teams can start brainstorming card ideas. Team One will get at least 4 designs, Team Two at least 2 (the loser of the third battle, tbd, will get one more).
Also, each player may appeal a card they think is unbalanced (in their team's thread). Preferably include a suggestion for what you think would be better.



Team One won the final battle (of this turn). I've copied the logs of that battle (and edited them to make them more legible, and to change the images to img tags that work on the forum).

Appeals from Round One
As promised, I reviewed cards where an appeal was made, and where appropriate made changes to rectify the imbalance. This process is always ongoing- if it turns out that I nerfed a thing too far, it could get appealed upwards. If it turns out it didn't get nerfed enough, then it can be reviewed again. Mistakes were made, are made, and will be made. The only hope is that the mistakes become smaller over time.



Immutable is a powerful ability, true. It shuts down many cards, true. However, I do not think the ability itself needs to be changed in the manner suggested. The battles in round one did not make Immutable seem overpowered. Immutable cards do not die to removal, but they do die to attacks (or more expensive removal).
The one change I will make is to close the 'can still be targeted' loophole that ACSW can exploit, and 'targets a random critter' dislikes.

Jar of Lightning dies to removal, which brings back the stickys it disabled. But seriously, it's a weaker version of "destroy two Stickys", and does not deserve a prohibitive price tag. I have increased the EC limit to >7, as it was pretty easy to get to >5.


Assualt Unit Mecha-chan's stats were too high. Even though Immutable is symmetrical, symmetrical is never symmetrical. I've lowered her stats to 50/100 for now.


A Certain Scientific Waifu generated rads way too fast. I've reduced the rad gen from 2 to 1.




Mutated Spore Colony's Spore Colonist tokens were both stronger, and more annoying than they should be. I have removed the explosive death of the tokens, left everything else the same.


Polluted Wasteland was not actually marked for review, but since there was only one appeal by Team Two and it features a mistake I recognised almost the instant I posted it, I've downgraded it from Common to Rare. I haven't done anything else, cos no appeal.

I greatly enjoyed CYOGTCG Wars, so now that I know this exists, I'd like to join it. If the first post is correct, team 2 is currently the one that needs more players so I should join that team, correct?
