I still consider my self a newb to adventure mode, sorry if these questions are really basic:

1.Humans wont talk to me beyond "greeting" however, they aren't attacking me. Whats up with this? Will i ever get to trade again?

2.I haven't seen any elven people nor elven cities, do they exist?

3. Why do elephants all but ignore me, but thrash my dwarven team mates. And why is it when humans attack me after i steal from them that my dwarven comrades don't defend me?

1.  You stole something?  Nobody from that civ will talk to you again (and the guards should really dislike you), but you can go somewhere else.

2.  Yes, in some of the forests, but it's just a bunch of elves.  They'll be underdeveloped until I get to multi-level trees.

3.  The elephant thing might be a coincidence -- adventure mode just has one side for you and your companions.  Your dwarven comrades didn't join you to be thieves, though they don't know how to leave either.  They and the guards are on the same side.  You are on the same side as well, but specific grievances overrule general allegiances.  One issue is that creatures that join you don't gain an actual affiliation with you, so nothing is triggered when you are attacked as it is in other situations.  That will be remedied at some point, but they should also be disgusted with you when you steal.

Also, we all know that elephants just HATE dwarves' guts! You've played Dwarf Fortress mode, man, you should know this stuff.

Yeah i knew elephants would pummel my little friends, but i wasn't expecting them to ignore me entirely.... I'm now very glad that all the rocks i threw at them missed...
