"Mirages are among what's left of magic. Well, you'd have to ask Freydis, she knows far more about it. It's a ton of alchemy and stuff. I know the basics, but I've always been more of a fighter and a businessman than a scientist."
Javier points at his broken arm.
"Well, at least until I got rusty."

"Maybe one of us should look into where, exactly, the order came from."

Momiji frowned has Kazama took Haruka and Miyuki to talk privately, she wasn't a fan of be left out of loops. With a low grumble about that she pushed herself up from her spot before looking at those left in the group.

"This kind of talk made me hungry...." Momiji paused a moment. "I'm going to go find a nice place to eat, so if anyone needs me tell them to message me." Momiji said turning to move out to find food.

"That's my plan, Mukawa. I have a contact higher up in the program. He and I were old friends. I'll see what he knows while you handle the Fire Soul side."

Azusa grins.
"Heh. If Javi wouldn't keelhaul me himself, I'd take you out drinking, talk about the good ol' days, even before Banjo and Red joined up. Back when it was me and Mina against the world. And Javi, well....he's got his own stories."

"The boss was a Mirager himself back in the day, didja know? Did the whole thing solo."
"That was a long time ago, Azusa. Don't worry about it."

"It's fine - Miyuki would probably strangle me if I agreed to that even more than she's going to already."

"Alone when they come in numbers like that, what the... how...?"

When Miyuki and Haruka leave Kazuma be, he takes a moment.

Suddenly, someone knocks on the wall leading to the room.
"Come in!"
"Wait, is that Nana? Who could that be?"

Setsuna strolls in, carrying a binder of files with her.

"S-Setsuna?! W-wait, why is she here?"
"Kamisato? Well, well. What're you doin' here?"
"Oh. Well, that's quite simple."
"I will be working with you from this day forth."

Professor Ormrsdottir walks back in, putting her phone away.
"Yes, Javier. She is working with us."
"Wait, wait. Freydis, this is the business side of Fire Soul. Surely you'd go to me first, right?"

Freydis whispers something in Javier's ear. If Javier didn't almost always seemingly have his eyes closed, he almost certainly would have widened them.

The two of them participate in harsh whispering, huddling together.
"...that much to join Fire Soul?"
"Yes."
"...her agency must want to kill her. How'd her manager negotiate that in their contract?!"
"Who do you think I was talking to? Her old agency practically begged me to talk to you to send her back. They said she insisted on joining Fire Soul. Like a woman possessed."
"...that sum...you know how much that'd cover? We could do that dig. For those artifacts you were looking at. AND also fund the next few lives with something left over!"
"I know. Why do you think I agreed, Javi?"
"...understandable."

Javier turns to the others.
"...alright, everyone. Please, welcome our new arrival, Kamisato Setsuna. I hope you'll all get along."
"I'll be glad to work with all of you starting today."
Her eyes are right on Hagane, Seitaro and Hikari.
"Especially you."
