"Giri giri ai...!"
The descending bat-like Amanojaku is pelted with fire from above, as Miyuki unleashes hell on it. Enough gets through that the beast halts its dive to turn back, only to find Misaki hurtling towards it.

The impact kicks up a plume of smoke and dust as Misaki's downward strike smashes it into the ground. The sounds of jet engines flaring to life can be heard, however, as out from the plume of debris emerge Hikari and Tsubasa, the former clinging on to the latter for dear life.

The young man, previously clad in a white hoodie and black jeans, is now in a skintight blue suit, metal bracers around his wrists and ankles, with silver shoulder pads. His mount resembles a mechanical horse, handlebars attached around where the withers would be on an actual horse like a motorbike with a digital speedometer embedded in the back of the horse's neck, and the mount's wheels are mounted on spokes resembling horse's legs. Gigantic pipes vent green energy behind Tsubasa as he flies up, Hikari hanging onto his waist for dear life. One of Tsubasa's hands is on the handlebars, the other wielding a silvery spear with a translucent green spearhead made of the same energy being vented by his flying bike.

"Eh??! Do you know what you're doing, Miki?!"

"If you mean riding a motorcycle, yes, if you mean anything else, nope!"

He steers the motorbike to the ground as the Amanojaku, forced onto the ground by Misaki's attack, forces itself out of the ground. The crocodilian Amanojaku from earlier unleashes a hellish screech, charging directly at Tsubasa and Hikari, only for a mighty yell to echo through the stadium as Azusa smashes her fist into its side, throwing it clean across the arena with immense force. As she pulls back up into what passes for her default fighting stance, she cracks her knuckles, before her eyes land on Hikari and Tsubasa's transformed forms, followed shortly by Seitaro and Misaki.

"Well, I'll be damned. Y'all were holding out on me, weren't you?"

"N-no! I promise! We didn't-"

"Relax. I'm kiddin'. Well, nothin' like a trial by fire to really learn how to get to grips with this, no?"

The crocodilian Amanojaku pulls itself to its feet, clearly stunned by Azusa's attack. It unleashes another screech, as Hitobosu emerge from the ground, drawn to the fight. The bat Amanojaku soars upwards, beetle-like Hitobosu gathering beneath it, ready to fight.

"First lesson of Mirager combat, don't think, feel! Let that song in yer heart, that song struggling to get out....let it come out!"

"Song? Like...singing?"

"That's what we are! Miragers fight with the song in their hearts....and some really big sticks. Now come on, let's put down some monsters already!"

It is at this point that the Miragers notice that there are a few audience members still trapped in with them, some who, paralysed with fear, did not flee. The Hitobosu are advancing towards them.
....
The choice is made for those backstage, as a sudden surge of force knocks the Miragers backstage aside.

Kazuma, Nagisa and Hagane are pushed towards a seemingly innocuous section of wall, which very shortly stops being a section of wall as the black Mirager is thrown through it, clearly injured. Through the hole is an even more injured Javier, multiple cuts across his body and with one arm clearly broken or rendered otherwise useless.

He slumps to one knee, nodding at the arriving Miragers.

"Heh. What kept you?"

"Multiple Miragers detected. Engaging escape protocols."

More Hitobosu stream in, seemingly ignoring the black Mirager to lunge towards the others. Nagisa, Hagane and Kazuma sense something...off about the black Mirager. An aura is emanating from them as if they too are channeling Biorhythm, but it does not feel the same. It feels perverse, wrong, almost artificial.

"Right. Finally, something I know how to fight."

Meanwhile, the others are pushed towards a room, a glass window through which you can see Minako and Doctor Ormrsdottir. However, to one side is the stage, as another bat Amanojaku descends, bug-like Hitobosu accompanying them to clean what's left.

"Let's make sure everyone's safe. Let's give everyone a good stage show!"

Skarn moves to P16, Focuses his aim, and fires at Leech 2H. After Mirager Reaper moves, Skarn will Guard him.

Conquest groans, the sudden blast nearly pushing them off their mount, clutching onto the metal to hang on before recovering balance. Rising their gaze, they see the Amanojaku at the center of the stage, a grin traversing Conquest's face as they charged, twirling the bow as they brazenly approached it.

"AHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! I'll run you over!

Holding the relic with both hands, Conquest swung recklessly against the large foe.

Conquest moves to N27 and fires a Curved Shot against Camazotz Amanojaku, forcing them into a duel if possible.

"Misaki, if you're not going to get away, then stay close and follow my lead. We need to protect the other civilians!" To punctuate this, she dashed at one of the earthen beasts around them, blades tracing streaks through the air.

Nagisa opens the fight, a short ringing out and piercing through the Hitobosu surrounding the nearest non-Mirager, one of Setsuna's agency crew who got caught before they could evacuate.

The Hitobosu releases a screech, before carbonising, crumbling to black dust.

The Mukawa siblings, meanwhile, engage one of the hulking, rock-like Hitobosu, standing at least a good five feet over either sister.

Of course, when one of them can fly, this isn't much of a height advantage.

Miyuki leads the way, a flurry of blades sinking themselves into the Hitobosu's rock-like pelt. The Hitobosu continues moving towards Miyuki to strike at her, seemingly unaffected by the knives, reaching back to strike at her. She hurls another flurry of knives towards it, again, seemingly not stopping the monster.

Unseen by anyone but Miyuki, of course, miniscule cracks in its hide were being opened up by her knives.

One more flurry of knives, and the beast continues to advance. That was fine.

All she needed was one more good hit, and-!

However, with a resounding, echoing voice, Misaki comes to her sister's defense, a gleaming fist smashing into the gap left by Miyuki.

The pure force of the blow disintegrates the hulking mass of rock, leaving nothing behind but the faint smell of ozone and coal.

The Hitobosu are seemingly unaffected, and lurch towards him, mandibles opening up to reveal fang-like protrusions, teeth to drain his Biorhythm, before exploding with spikes of metal and rock, disintegrating into black dust, blown away by the force of Hagane's blow.

Briar moves to P26 and uses his Live on Haruka.

Haruka moves to O27 and uses Mist Rush on Camazotz Amanojuku.

"C'mon Silver, you got this!" Briar calls out, before he starts singing and swaying on his board. He was on support, giving Haruka the juice to go toe to toe with the big beast. If they didn't beat it fast, they'd lose out on saving the civilians... And from the looks of it, trying to fight all the little guys would take too long.

Somehow, it worked out for Minase. She is safe. Well, as safe as a freshly-made Mirager in the middle of a battlefield can be. And he's one of them now too. Surrounded by those foul Amanojaku.
Surrounded by people crying for help.

"... This is not a trial by fire, Azusa."
Don't be a hero.

"This is fate's cruel hand."
Don't be a hero.

"And we gotta play that hand to the best of our abilities."
But helping people, does that automatically force someone to become a hero?

As Seitaro soars through the air, he recollects the events of this evening. He helped out peach girl on a whim. Just because he wanted to. Finding the girls involved cute was what happened afterwards, not before. He then thinks about his sudden hesitation when diving towards peach girl to rescue her. He once helped her, so why not wanting to help her all of a sudden? Scratch that, he wanted to, but something within him held him back. Self-doubt. He never was good enough, is what he thought. Not having been adopted all these years. He hasn't ever felt needed. And in that one moment where he was needed the most, he couldn't help Minase.

He lands on top of the debris and channels the air bubbles around his hand. He looks at the innocent bystanders being targeted. He is not an innocent bystander, unlike back then. He can do something. Control the situation. Pull an ace out of his sleeve. Don't be a hero. But be someone who can help. Be the wind of change. Internally, Seitaro cringes at that stereotypical thought of the wind guy being the "wind of change". But externally...

"Guys, hold out just a little longer. We will save you all!"
... externally, he decides to become the wind of change for these people.

Seitaro begins to sing.

As fascinating as the big giant bat that has just recently descended on stage was, what was more concerning was the fact that there were still civilians around. Which should not be happening. As much as the spotlight should be rightfully on her, it really wouldn't do if the extras were to find themselves injured. Best to get on with the evacuation.

Though, it did look as though quite a few ~~foul~~ ~~disgusting~~ ~~squirming~~ creatures in her way that were clamouring to disagree.

"My, you lot seem rather eager to die. Oh, very well. Never let be said that I, Mirage Siren, am not the most generous patron. Vivat!" There was a click of her fingers and there was an explosion of roots.

Arisu to L25 and use Mirage Arts: Vile Roots on Leech 1D. On hit, use Caritas Perpetuo to spread Drain to all nearby enemies.

Briar swoops in, starting to sing for Haruka, the beat from Briar's Mirage managing to, however temporarily, override the unnaturally powerful song emanating from Setsuna.

But she was empowered by a Live, and Dyrnwyn was no ordinary weapon. With a flick of her wrist, Haruka swings her blade outwards as the blade separates into multiple segments held together by flexible chains, the blade lengthening and stretching outwards to catch the Amanojaku from an angle it couldn't evade-

Azusa gets back to singing as she evades another blow from the hulking reptilian Amanojaku, parrying it with her club, while Seitaro advances.

Hikari almost jumps as she feels the energy course through her, looking towards Tsubasa.

"Miki? You're singing? I thought you weren't a singer!"

"I guess so! Go on, Minase! I'll have your back!"

Hikari finds it in herself to smile confidently back.

"R-right! I'll do my best! Believe in me, Miki!"

She latches onto Setsuna's song. She knew the lyrics to this very well, after all - it was one of her favorites. If she needed to sing to fight...

"Fuzakeatta tomodoachi to, motomeatta ano hito to..."

Lowering her staff into position as the reptilian Amanojaku notices her, she feels energy coursing through her as motes of light gather in the center of the prongs of her staff. As if knowing by instinct what to do, she points it forward.

"Hikaru hodo kage wa deki...moeru hodo hai ni naru..."

The gargantuan lizard rears up, preparing to attack Hikari.

"Motamota shitetara kusacchau yo..!"

A burst of light blinds Hikari and Azusa, the two standing nearest the Amanojaku.

When the light fades, the Amanojaku rears back, a massive hole blasted through it - and the back of the stage - as Hikari's staff begins charging up another blast. The beast still stands, the hole Hikari blasted through it slowly filling, but not fully; whatever force Hikari had struck it with, it was enough to hinder its ability to recover, a small gap remaining where her attack had landed.

"E-eh?! I did that?!"

Azusa looks genuinely impressed.

"Keep goin', princess! Ya got this. Handle the big beastie for me, I'll nab the civvies!"

"EEEEHHH?!"

Minako's eyes widen as the energy readings on her monitor spike upon Hikari's blast.

"That was Brisingamen?!"

"Brisingamen is a very old Relic. The very first Mirage, even. With age comes strength, Shirogane."

"To think we had that kind of firepower....and nobody could wield it."

Azusa continues singing as she surges through the hordes of Hitobosu, her club blazing with flames as she obliterates several menacing one of the remaining civilians.

"Get outta here!"
