Hey, motorcycles with machine guns are perfectly useful defensively, you can roll them into place wherever the enemy is attacking, and back off at the same high speed if you're being overrun. A malleable defense is better than a rigid one.

Would making the bike the transport, and the machine gun emplacement mobile be fine? Something that can reposition to rain fire down on enemy lines, then move on once the fire gets tough. Kinda like a machine gun tower piece with a ton of ammo and 4 barrels, so it fires at four times the bullets per second.

The bike is for moving it around, and these towers can act as defensive emplacements. And more room to engineer them if they are made to be towed behind the bike. The towers can also just be detached in places for static defenses.
