Congrats on 3 members, you can report your building design specs to the Cartography guild, when ready.

I would guess we want "a forge", unfortunately I'm not sure what a forge looks like, aside from it being a house with a large chimney that happens to feature a blacksmith.

Maybe mining would be a good activity. There is also herb collecting. And Adventure rewards. Perhaps there can be some collaboration with the cartography and crafting guilds for collecting natural resources. Any ideas?

Maybe there could be another RTD thread for that. Kind of the "Crafting Union" Mysterious was proposing...

Aywen makes a show of putting 2 iron ingots, 1 steel ingot, some smiting equipment, 10 semi-precisous gems, 3 precious gems, 3 magical gems and a sturdy piece of cord on the table.
"What can I get for these?"
"Why, I reckon I could give you 75 gold for it" Aywen says slyly.
"It's 110 gold and not a copper less!" Aywen counters
"take 100 gold or your business elsewhere."
"You drive a hard bargain, Ayes, but a fair one."
Aywen deposits the ingredients in the guild stash and takes back her money.
"It is a pleasure doing business with myself" she smirks.

Well, no. These are for guild members to use. Joining is free though (we appreciate donations).

Alright, but the community goal is to have an activity that everyone can participate in, even those not members of the guild.

The issue is only the guild members allowed to participate, is guild members should be responsible for DMing those activities. If everyone has to join every guild just to participate, than that will be too much training for each person, rather than getting good at helping with a few.
