27th Granite, Early Spring, Year 101As expected, intelligent livestock are handled somewhat strangely by the game. My understanding is that first generation slaves are animals with a lot of citizenry baggage, while any offspring they might have are treated as full citizens of the fort.
Speaking of breeding, our two-headed hounds have finally produced a single pup.
: "Now what's taking the cauchemars? They were adults before we got here, unlike the orthi."
: "Yeah but who needs fancy horse bone when we've got giant frillnecks to breed?"
1st Slate, Mid Spring, Year 101We now know a bit about camels.
13th Slate, Mid Spring, Year 101: "My, this entry hall is bizarrely good at catching livestock."
17th Slate, Mid Spring, Year 101The merchants have embarked on their journey. Or, well, begun packing up to embark on their journey. They have a lot of bone crafts and unsold fish to stash.
: "Come back soon! Make sure to tell everyone you weren't killed or robbed this time!"
21st Slate, Mid Spring, Year 101Another warrior seeks to party, relax, and seek the next step in his epic quest.
: "Okay this is actually too many slaves. Maybe we should have brought some kind of lunatic to slash them all to pieces instead of capturing them."
: "But free tavern decor!"
27th Slate, Mid Spring, Year 101After some Very
TM Slight
TM Finagling
TM we manage to get the forge room up and running. All the buildings that can be are powered by the excessive quantities of magma beneath, so no fuel is required.
: "The glass shall flow once again!"
1st Felsite, Late Spring, Year 101: "Eeeeeeasy now. Just gotta get the half-tamed twenty foot tall rhino-mammoth-horse thing into the pen. Should be suuuuuuuuper easy."
6th Felsite, Late Spring, Year 101A pair of snake soldiers arrive. This may be a coincidence, or it could indicate visitors beginning to arrive in greater numbers.
10th Felsite, Late Spring, Year 101Our breeding program enters its next phase.
: "Soon! All the pachy bones I could want, mwahahahaha!"
12th Felsite, Late Spring, Year 101Turns out both snakes are seeking the same artifact the axegoblin is. This is an awfully strange place for a "you all start in a tavern" opening...
: "Ooooooh, can we ship the guests? They'd make
such a cute adventuring couple..."
17th Felsite, Late Spring, Year 101: "Do Reimus lay eggs? Does anybody know?"
: *shrugs*
: "They can fly, right? Fliers usually lay eggs."
