WORLD TURN 3: THE END OF THE LONG DARK
As prophesized, a great plague from beyond the veil of the Finite came over the World: the plague of Putrefaction, which was born in corrupted Scaple. To those who were forsaken by the
God-Kings, the plague would spare none and would go down in history as the
Scaple Fever.
The Death of the Dust Sky and the Dispersal of the Dasalan
The Dasalan legends tell of the
Great Infamy, of the
Storm God-King who hated the
Dust, and of the
Astral God-King who feared the
Dust God-Queen who had conquered the Dust Sky. It is said by the lorekeepers that far in the lands of the West and East, there existed a curse of rot and decay cast by a mad Storm God-King. When He Who Hated the Dust came to curse the Vast Dust,
Taki the God-Queen Wanderer-King of Dust called upon the help of the Herder Winds to drain the Humid One of its spores. The Storm raged, mighty and fearsome, but Taki and the Herder Winds prevailed and fell the Storm. That is when, as Taki was exhausted and victorious, the treacherous
God-King of Satellites let out an arrow imbued with the foul waster's flame, striking Taki in the back. The foul flame expanded in the Dust Sky, felling with it the tempestuous Herder Winds and peaceful Dust Clouds. And it is then that struck by grief and horror, all Darkapple Trees across the Vast Dust withered and died...
But fortunately, Dasala would not die. For
Kesem the God-King of the Night had in a time prior felled a Great Enemy, and in his magnanimity, split him into purified Friends. The
Wailing Stars thus remade shouted of the coming Infamy, warning the Wanderers to flee from the Vast Dust lest they all perish. Riding the wind in great fleets inside their Familybarges, the tearful Dasalan left the comforting Dust Sky for the other skies. True to the prophecy of the Wailing Stars, they saw the ever dark Dust Sky engulfed in the foul flame, becoming silent and poisoned.
Only the Librarians remained in the Vast Dust, and around them formed a small country of secluded lorekeepers who witnessed the Great Infamy. Ever since, the people of Dasala have been scattered, praying for the return of Taki and cursing the names of the God-Kings of Storm and Satellites.
The Expansion of the Vast Dust
The death and sacrifice of
Taki who protected the Vast Dust greatly moved the desert who had until then never cared much about the God-Queen. In its
sadness, regret and rage, the Vast Dust vowed revenge and declared war upon all that is moist, and with fiery storms of dry blew West and East to kill the spawns of spores with its curse of dust.
When the moisture of the God-King of Storms was stolen from him by the demon God-Queen of Dust, it is said the entire Scaple
wept and lamented with such force that the Mind Corruption overtook it. In one night the Scaple turned to eternal rot, the Shaman Kings powerless to stop its spread, and thus weakened the Scaple was devoured and subsumed by the furious Vast Dust, turning the Scaple into a land of Dust and eternal rot.
As with Scaple, the death of Storm Shuddering Winds Embraced By Chitinous Thread caused Esulom who loved the Storm such sorrow that it exploded in a burst of fungal tears,
reopening its wounds and killing the fungal jungles. The furious wind and dunes of the Vast Dust came then onto Esulom, turning the moist dry and leaving only sparse prairies of moss at the very edges of Esulom. The unprepared
Songbirds greatly suffered, their numbers dropping in droves.
The Corruption of the Scaple
When Scaple lost itself in corruption and was eaten by the Vast Dust, the
Scaple Fever spread across the world and underworld. But having foreseen the great disaster,
Revolution the God-King shared with the people of Scaple the knowledge of medicine and with his words declared none would die from plague on Scaple, and so none did. And with the voice of Storm having turned silent, and the Dust having eaten their fungal kingdoms, the Shamans grew lost, and scared, and turned to the Sword. From the Queen of Adventurers and the exiled Dasalan, they learnt how to live with the Dust and with the Ruins, and slowly but surely left their shaman ways behind.
Uncovering the secrets of the past civilizations and learning from the fleeing Dasalans, Queen Vetriel rediscovered the old ways and learnt how to live in the new Scaple. She shared the knowledge with her people, and with the Shamans, and in time the Shaman Kingdoms became vassals of the Adventurer Kingdom. Gone were the days of fungal abundance, replaced by vengeful dust and eternal rot, and snakes.
Oh so many snakes. For in the changed Scaple, the Snakes who once struggled returned to prominence once more, feeling more at home in the dust than in the rot. Reclaiming the lands stolen from them by civilization, the snakes then decided to made the lives of mortals much harsher out of a desire to torment them. It is only thanks to the great healers of Scaple that the threat of snakes can be kept in check.
Rise of the Sandking
Then in forsaken Esulom, the
Scaple Fever did reach. But having known a plague in the past, the Sandfolks new to isolate and wait for the evil to pass. Among them then rose a Sandking, donning a crown inhabiting the God-King of Wisdom. He gathered under a common banner the weak-willed and forsaken Sandfolks of Esulom, forging the Sand Kingdom of Esulom with the knowledge of the Crown.
The Return of the Sun: a New Dawn on Gempria
With the union of Fire and Sun, the lost Sun would rise once more to grace the lightless world with the blessings of Day.
The Divine Phoenix thus flew across the world, offering to take the eyes of the people in exchange for health. At the end of its course it would return in Gempria, where it would die a fiery death like the Sun once fell, only to be reborn once more to resume its eternal course.
To follow the noble example of their God-Kings, the Fire-Unlen from the Kingdom of Fire Season and the Unlen from the Empire of Eternal Day decided to put their past enmity behind and
forge a new peace. This new peace was signed in the magnificent palace of Neetocris the God-King, greatest home across the realms.
The Cults of the Burning Queen and Eternal Day have merged into the Cult of the Phoenix.
The
Scaple Fever reached the land of Eternal Day, felling a great many Unlen who worshipped the Eternal Day due to their rites of basking in the light of the day. Many gave up their visions to cure themselves, weakening the Empire of Eternal Day. Meanwhile the Shade-Unlen simply remained in their homes and avoided contact with the outside, following the noble teachings of the
Sedentary God-King.
An even greater legend tell of how the Sedentary God-King tamed the Scaple Fever: Neetocris once invited the Scaple Fever in its palace, and said to it "In my glorious home, no foul host shall set foot". So glorious was the home of the Shade King that the Fever itself desired to enter it, and thus asked "How may I clear myself of foulness and set foot in your graced home?" Neetocris laughed, and servants carried him to the wondrous baths of his palace: "By water be purified. Come and bathe, and you shall be clean, and new, and no longer foul." So did the Scaple Fever bathe, and indeed become foul no longer. "See. Now go, and fight the foulness of your kin" said Neetocris to the purified Scaple Fever who now fought the plague it once was.
Sandfolks of Gempria: the Kingdom of Lasers
In the Empire of Eternal Day, there was a great battle between
Omnipotence the God-King and the fractal demon who had hunted many of its followers across the ages. With a great beam of light the demon was harmed and retreated, and the Sandfolks who witnessed thus believed and were blessed. Following the orders of the God-King, they forged a country within the Empire and won a swift war against soldiers weakened by sun-blindness.
Other events of Gempria
The Grand Spirit Beasts sleep still, and their existence has become a legend.
All the blessed ones who knew the knowledge of terminals were felled by the Scaple Fever.
The Universal Language created by a genius didn't take off, as said genius died of Scaple Fever before sharing the complete language.
The Antenna-Unlen were annihilated by the Scaple Fever, the propaganda of the satellites telling them not to listen to the lies of the Sun and never give their sight to the lying Sun.
The Pipe Network and the Terminal Pipes have grown in use in Gempria, but have disappeared from the other regions due to lack of maintenance and expertise.
Gavrasratii: Long Live the Mother-Emperor
Most blessed and worthisest among many, the Sratiitra was chosen to inhabit the soul of the
Mother of All Mountains, who crowned herself
Mother-Emperor upon the Granite Throne. She then called out to her children and subjects, and told them to spread and claim their destinies along the paths She carved. Great tunnels connecting Gavrasratii to the rest of the world appeared, allowing the Sratii to
trade, war, and conquer to their hearts content.
Using the tunnels of the great underground network to travel to other nations, they accidentally brought the Scaple Fever back to Gavrasratii, though having foreseen this Gratis the God-King sent his legions of Golems to heal and teach how to heal, stopping the plague dead in its tracks.
With the altar reopened, many sought the strength that had graced the first Sratiitra, and thus warlords appeared across Gavrasratii. Using the tunnels the Mother-Emperor had carved for them, they
raided and plundered the lands of distant regions, capturing
sacrifices in such great numbers that they became known as the Scourge. Days and nights, sacrifices were thrown into the pit of the altar, feeding the unsatiable mountain who had developed a taste for flesh and riches. None of the other kingdoms could stop the fearsome Sratii, far too weakened by the various disasters that had plagued them.
It is only thanks to the Sun that Gavrasratii didn't invade the other regions, for the Sratii had long forgotten the Light, which now burnt their eyes.

JANITOR TURN
The JANITOR has deemed the following obsolete:
-DARKSEEING UNLEN
-SATELLITES The JANITOR has deemed the situation of GEMPRIA to be disturbing the flow of TIME.
If the MORTALS are unable to find PEACE, or assemble under ONE banner, then ALL NATIONS of GEMPRIA will be PURGED.INTERLOPERS TURN
The enigmatic Interlopers acted.
A great pillar of blasphemy has landed in the Vast Dust, guarded by a monster of salt and silver. So long as it stands, it will have the following effects:
- The pillar affects all the Vessels in the world, reducing the Worship they receive.
- The pillar is protected against divine action, preventing the use of an Intervention or a Curse on it. Vessels are unable to approach the pillar.
- The pillar does not affect unblessed/uncursed mortals.
GM edit: the pillar is creating some aura of non god stuff. No blessed/cursed stuff can approach. Can't bless stuff something in that aura. Intent being that I want you to send unblessed mortals deal with it.
