Can you tell us a bit about ToonyMan?
From my perspective, ToonyMan is an unreadable, brutal, suave juggernaut. In terms of persuasive power, he comes out pretty high, as well.
Can you also explain Max's play style or something like that? They died n1 in stormtrooper mafia, so I don't really know how they play past d1.
I wouldn't say Max is at ToonyMan's level, mainly due to lacking persuasive power. I'd define persuasive power as... the ability to make the other players of the game see things from your point of view, or believe that going along with what you want is ideal. You could also call it charisma.
Max doesn't have that charisma, but I've never been able to read him correctly, and his analysis is on point.
Also, what makes you believe that you're not competent in mafia?
Well, in terms of the games I've played in...
BYOR 16. Loss.
Bring 3. Loss, but I'm not counting that one because it was completely and utterly broken.
Auto-Mafia. Loss.
Paranormal Mafia 27. Loss.
Hat Mafia. Win, but I'm not counting that one either because it was also completely and utterly broken.
Proc Gen Mafia 4. Loss.
Beginner Mafia 2, BYOR Edition. Loss.
Kill Webadict Now: Webadict Edition Redux. Loss.
MATRIX6 - Magic Tric Newbie Mafia. Win.
Roguelike Mafia 7. Win.
Revolution III - Assassination Games. Win.
Election: A Bright Future. Win.
Magic Mafia MM. Win.
Choose-Your-Own-Mafia 4. Win, but...
Bloodless Town Victory
The ponzi shield scheme started underway. The guildsmen pooled their savings to buy the first shipment from a Sinuan armoury. The Surveyors Guild were given the cash, as they were the ones to inspect incoming goods. Unfortunately for everyone else, the Surveyor's guild were also rotten to the core. This pack of thieves had planned to disrupt and murder the rest of the council at the convocation, but when an opportunity is handed to you, why let it go? So instead, the three took the kitty for the shield scheme and left the rest of the convocation bankrupt. Last anyone heard, they were heading out west to the Hex frontiers to spend their winnings in the Poult casinos.
Egan, Tric and mightymushroom were scum and they concede.
If I run this format again I'm either scrapping shields or not making them confirmable. This was originally perfectly winnable by scum, but the team suffered a rout from morale failure.
PUZZLE TEMPLE PANIC!. Win.
One Night Ultimate Webwolf. Win.
BYOR 15. Win.
Proc Gen Mafia 3. Loss.
"Dark Secret" BYOR Mafia. Loss. Also, my role sucked.
MafiaKart Racing. Win.
BYOR 0. Loss.
You know what, I'm not going through the whole list. That's somewhere along the lines of half the games to two thirds of them, I'm not sure of the exact count.
First of all, my win-loss ratio is horrendous. But more importantly, the bigger problem is that the RNG itself is biased against me.
Absolutely disproportionately, in bigger games I end up as mafia or third party. I have much less town experience than I
should have, which makes things more difficult than it needs to be.
So I'm pretty grateful to have the chance to practice my town play.
