You don't have to put on clothes. You already are already wearing them.

Nothing in the post mention anything about wood as a resource or to build things out of wood.

I assume gathering wood means that you just gather fuel instead, and as of right now we only really need 1 person to spend 1 action to upkeep the fireplace we have here.

There is no wood. Woody plants never evolved on Competitive Evolution 3. The only source of fuel are the sacktrees..

I haven't read that one so my back ground is a bit lacking, an Maximum Spin mentioned wood so i had the idea that there was some.

I will then gather stones.

I was referring to the fuel as "wood". I'm sure I will be forgiven for imagining that a biological source of flammable fuel specifically referred to as a "tree" would have "wood".

The party of seven wake up from their slumber. They quickly consume what supplies they had left. They gather their sacks, grab their spears and set out for foraging.

Everyone except Fish begin hauling rocks they deem usable to the camp, quickly gathering a pile of them near the fire. It is uneventful and quite a simple task, since there are rocks everywhere here.

While the other were gathering usable stones, Fish was still scouting around. He wanders around for a bit, encountering some bubblefish, which fly away to evade him. He finds that the cliff they had settled infront of was a rather narrow one, a terrain anomaly even. It is more of an giant rock outcrop that got soil on it as time went by. He then encounters a few boiling hot springs and a small, steaming stream that flows down to the sea.

He notes that the light-passable clouds of yesterday were all replaced by much more opaque ones. He senses that a torrential rain is coming, which also means flooding. Just not now, however. It needs to be colder first. Which would take a few days. They still have time.

Fish returns to camp to get water from the sea as they had used it all this morning. He is joined by Mu Rex and Walnut. He grabs two sacks, the other two grab one each. They descend down to the smooth shale coast and dip the sacks into the water.

They do not linger for long after they are done. In fact, they get the water and leave as quickly as possible. Because the sea is dangerous. The sea bears the enemy. The enemy owns the sea. The sea belongs to the Green-Fiends.

They walk back and out the water down.

Walnut leaves, Mollask and Molloch join in, and Mu stays. Together with Fish, the four shellpeople form a hunting party. They grab their spears and sacks, and set out into inland territory. It is craggy and steep, but a relatively flat space should be around somewhere, maybe the up the cliff?

It takes them three or so hours to find a herd of eightlegs. There is no way they can lift an eightleg corpse -a 5-meter-pile of angry bone and muscle- all the way to camp, so they'll cut the tastiest bits, get some leather and leave the rest.

Mollask jumps in first, taking care to not hit the spikes, using the venom glands in his tentacletips to inject paralysing venom into the targets thick-skinned back. The venom is not particularly fast acting, and his electric shock is useless against such an animal, so he quickly finds himself being shaken off and then kicked away like a playball. Mollask's carapace cracks, and he hastily retreats. The others of the targets herd panic and scatter, but the target is already under the effects of the venom. It can't think straight, and cannot concieve to run away.

The other three, taking advantage of the eigtlegs' confusion, make short work of it. Fish distracts it, while Mu and Molloch go for the legs. The beast is slowly paralysed, bleeds out and dies. The party cuts it open to butcher it with their tentacles, and Mollask stuffs himself with the fresh corpse to activate his ability of rapid regeneration. After that, a sleeping Mollask and four bags of raw, delectable meat are brought back to camp, along with some large rolls of raw leather. Mollask would completely regenerate his wounds in the night, and will be in perfecr condition in the morning.

The sun sets, and the air turns a very dark navy as the clouds reflect the color above them. The party sit down around the fire and hurl another sacktree husk at it to have it burn for longer. Someone has to dry all that meat and leather, they realise, or else they'll rot in the bags. They note the impending flood and stress the importance of shelter. They decide to not eat this night, opting to eat cooked meat tomorrow morning instead of raw now.

Molloch gets up from around the fire. Since they just spent a piece of fuel, it would only be logical to get another one. The tops of boulders should have some sacktrees sleeping on them.

Aaaaand he is correct. He sneaks up to the slumbering swarm, and lunges at one of them, spearing it and popping the gas sack inside it. The plantimal dies shortly after that, and Mollock returns with another days worth of fuel.

The party say their goodnights, and sleep.

I'll knap a stone, use it to dig out a storage, then cook as much food as I can in one action.

ETA: Also, let me flesh out my character's appearance a little: Whatever it is these weird shellular creatures find attractive, I have THE MOST OF IT.

Assuming a small housing would only house 1 Shellfolk, then we need 7 actions to knap rocks, and another 7 to carve the homes.
So, 14 actions in total which should be spread out to everyone over the next few turns/days to ensure we don't all drown.

Would it be sensible to craft another fireplace so we can have more meat drying actions?
How long would the meat not spoil?

1: Knap rock to sharp rock
2: Carve small housing
3: Dry meat
