"Tell Captain Holders his offer is appreciated, and my crew could use some help repairing the woodwork and replacing the torn sail."

"Kapitein Finley is dankbaar voor hulp. We zouden zijn timmerlieden en matrozen kunnen helpen met het repareren van het hout en de zeilen van Santa Julia."

"Akkoord. Ian, zeg tegen onze eerste stuurman dat hij een tiental matrozen moet zoeken die Lusitaans spreken, of in ieder geval de bevelen begrijpen, en laat ze de bemanning van Kapitein Finley's schip helpen met reparaties."

"Natuurlijk meneer. Captain Finley, Mister Schmidt, we will have to find a dozen or so sailors that speak Lusitanian, and our First Mate will accompany them to your ship shortly and help with repairs."

"Much appreciated. Hopefully one day we will be able to repay this favor."

"Kapitein Finley is dankbaar en hoopt de gunst ooit terug te betalen." Captain Holders smiles and then lifts his hat and shakes your hand before turning to return to his ship.

"Captain, we must return to our duties now. I hope one day we can have such a fortuitous meeting again."

A) "Likewise, thank you for your help."
B) "Actually, if you don't mind, I have a question about... (insert topic here)"

"Likewise, thank you for your help."

"Of course. Captain, Mister Schmidt." Holders' Steward shakes your hand, then the Gunner's, and gets on board the Lion. You and the Gunner return to your ship.

The Purser is checking his ledger, siting on mooring stone right next to the board leading up to Santa Julia's deck.

"Ah, Captain!" He slides off the mooring and wipes his backside whilst the Gunner returns to the ship. "Shall we go then? The local company man is a decent fellow, but I understand if you wish to get to the market first."

A) "To the Company Man!"
B) "To the Market!"

"To the Company Man!" The Purser leads you to the office of the Company that's located in middle of the harbor, just by the local Temple of the Goddess.

It is a small, two-story building made of brick and mortar.

The Purser enters first, and looks very confused at the occupant behind the desk - a middle-aged man, balding and with thin moustache, small glasses on his nose. He stopped in middle of writing something in a book, a drop of ink dangling on the tip of his quill.

"Yes? Greetings? May I help you, gentlemen?" The man asks with a raspy voice as the Purser looks cautiously around.

"This is Captain Scott Finley, and I'm Xavier d'Albaret, Purser. We've arrived with a ship, Santa Julia, just a while ago. We're looking for Lusitanian Company Man, Giuseppe Braccia?" The man behind the desk puts away his quill.

"Ah, I'm afraid you can't meet him. He has died of tropical fever two weeks ago. We've sent a dispatch to the Company Master in Lusia, but you..."

"No, we're not his replacements." The middle-aged man nods and hums.

"Well. I'm Alberto Marias, Braccia's accountant. I've taken over the affairs of the Company until the Company sends or nominates someone as replacement. Please, be seated." The Purser sighs and you both sit down.

"How can I help you?"

"We need information on the affairs of the colony, its needs, and whether there's any pirates or bad weather to avoid."

"Well, I'm not as well informed or connected as the late Braccia was, but I can fill you in on what I know. Of most importance, I think, to you, will be the fact that the local market keeper has gotten in a dispute with local tailors."

"Something serious?"

"I am not privy to details at this point, but if you have any textiles, I would suggest you check with some of the tailors and see how much they will charge you. The market keeper will surely try to buy as low as possible from you to gouge the clothiers afterwards. As for weather and pirates, the former has been calm, but last week there have been sightings of Palmster Brothers south of here."

"We know of them, they've attacked us two days ago."

"By the Goddess! You've managed to escape?"

"We were sailing together with a Zeelander ship, the Lion, under Captain Ernst Holders. Together we managed to inflict enough damage that the pirates turned away and left. Our ship is damaged and we've had some casualties."

"Ah, that explains a lot. Is there anything else you need?"

A) "Could you spare some craftsmen and workers to help with repairs?"
B) "No, that would be all."
C) "Yes, I have a question about... (insert topic here)"

"Yes, I have a question about Blackspice." Accountant Marias scratches his chin thoughtfully.

"Hmmm... Blackspice... I don't think the local market has any. You would have better luck in Fedeira, given its a major trading hub. I'm pretty sure that there are big plantations of the spice in Palovilas and Nuova Lusia. That's all I know of it."

A) "Thank you. We must go to the market now."
B) "Also, could you spare some workers and craftsmen to help repair Santa Julia?"
C) "I also would like to talk about... (insert topic here)."

"Thank you. We must go to the market now."

"Of course. Have a pleasant day." You and the Purser then leave for the market, where a fat market keeper tells you the goods and prices.

Quote from: Costas Market
Bitterfruit: 490 Sacks (49 SL) for 230 Ducats a Sack
Indigo: 100 Coffers (5 SL) for 880 Ducats a Coffer
Puffcloth: 125 Barrels (25 SL) for 2050 Ducats a Barrel
Redleaf: 110 Sacks (11 SL) for 330 Ducats a Sack
Sugar: 130 Sacks (13 SL) for 65 Ducats a Sack
Sweetpod: 80 Coffers (4 SL) for 1150 Ducats a Coffer

Costas Market is currently buying Old World Alcohols at Company Value.
Costas Market is currently buying Softfeel and Twosewn at 300 Ducats and 450 Ducats each, respectively, citing saturation with fabrics.

A) "Let's trade... (insert goods here)"
B) "Well, there's nothing valuable to be had here!"
C) Consult the Ledger.
