While I mostly mean that in a joking manner, I am slightly concerned someone would exploit this to mutate 8 times in a single turn for every turn

He can. However, all those mutations will belong to 8 new species. He can't pile at most 4 at a single species. A and B are the mutations each new species will inherit.
The Ku did in fact exploit this for massive bio-engineering. Since their's was a race fused as one with much biodiversity on it's own.
Though Magma has patched that by preventing vegetableism. So no silly 8 mutations a turn. (Maybe.)

Shellfolk said “screw slimes” and outplayed them though, so it’s all good.

Shellfolk said screw this game and just left it entirely.

Cope

(Tric, for the uninformed, is coping about me advancing the tech tree and intelligence enough to the point where is made a deal with volcano god and won by moving to greener pastures while Tric was making slime traps in the ocean.)

It’s all about the bigger picture Tric, just think of the long term.

Crystalizedmine(Your votes are confusing, is this good? You can't speciate like that. A and B creates two separate species with two different mutations, not extend an action into two parts)
1: Speciate off of Spadenose Dropeel and mutate filterfeeding
2: Become flat and float on the surface
3: Heat resistance
SS: Become partially autothropic by harvesting choloroplasts from algea
Thanks for the clarification and it looks good to me!

We did, they were called liveships. (Post an action that isn't just bigger brain. You don't have a near infinite amount of slime kelp to eat. Which you ate, all of it...)

Which is why I moved to a new planet with new resources. While still advancing tech and improving as a species.

Slime vs Shellfolk, Shellfolk won.

No amount of copium will change this. You tried your best, but hard work cannot beat genius. 8)

I literally cannot. My procrastination is overpowering. Such is the toll of intelligence.

Speciating is great, but as others have pointed out, each speciated species gets less advanced than players who just improve one animal. I'll slow down when the ecosystems are fuller.

Quick question: How does a species become an apex predator?

Turn 4

The Events

The event dices are now active.

Strength: 87 (Major)
Timeframe: 5 (Single Turn)
Temperament: 1 (Awful)

The World

An endless tropical cyclone has formed upon the archipelago. While the land is barren and therefore has no one to be affected by the storm, the inhabited waters are constantly violent. Soft algea growths are affected as they are uprooted from the rocks and the sediment which they live on. Most also don't have adaptations for uncalm waters.

-30 population malus to all species except deep sea ones, for the turn.

The storm seems never-ending, but if there was any sapient to observe it, they would see that the rapidly shifting cloud patterns were actually... repeating?

Mimicking Dropcod and Teamworker Dropbass are extinct due to outcompetition.
