Hiya.

My fairly uber swordman has little to fear from critters, but noticed that he was getting the freezing message wandering around a ruin...

when it changed to "freezing solid" I headed for the exit at maximum warp...

what is this and how do I counter it?

I gather building a fire isnt it.

should I put on clothes over my armor?

What should my guy be doing for a challenge? He has maxed stats and is legendary in most combat skills... killing minotaurs just isnt exciting anymore.

I slaughtered a few towns out of boredom and irritation they wouldn't talk to me.

Then I killed a bunch  elite bowmen in some ruins. the last two I didnt even bother sneaking.

where do dragons/hydras/titan's hang out? they sound like they might survive more than one or two shots...

Since armor has a heat capacity that isnt small itll delay you getting frostbite, and i would expect extra layers would help. One thing you can do to challenge yourself is to make the monsters way more tough in the raws, just dont mess with the tokens or youll have to make a new world.

hit the minotaur's damblock up to 50, thats a challenge

The larger the city, the more important a quest will be given to you when you do smaller quests first.   These will be the dragon/hydra whatever kill-quests.
