Overlapping text in trade screen
« on: July 06, 2023, 04:59:42 pm »

So, I've come back to DF after a looooong hiatus, to discover lots of lovely new things have been done and all that, which is great.  But I am having some visual issues... I'm not considering it a bug, since I'm sure it's just me not setting things correctly, but I got my first caravan and the weight/value is sitting on top of the item description, instead of at the other end of the bar, where there's room.  I had a check in the forumsearch and on google, but apparently my google fu is weak.  Also, anyone know how to get the minimap to sod off? It used to be tab, but not any more.

I agree with Urist. Steampunk is like Darth Vader winning Holland's Next Top Model. It would be awesome but not something I'd like in this game.
Unfortunately dying involves the amputation of the entire body from the dwarf.

Minimap is now immortal.
The game has a lot of issues when using square tilesets right now, so I recommend using the default tileset right now if they annoy you too much. There are already some recognized bugs regarding text positioning and overlay, you can check if the issue has been discussed on the discord and share some pictures, maybe no one has not reported your specific problem yet.

Just in general the latest version has some jank with modifying graphics I've found, like if you change the colors.txt it can give every bit of text a solid black background rather than keeping transparency
