HARROWING BACKSTORY:
Disowned by her (very large) family for her eccentric lifestyle of challenging random strangers to mortal duels, Skitterleap honed her skills in the wild and lived off the land. Lore: When this ancient terror first emerged from the depths of the corrupt and bottomless maze, Spearimpale, a black cloud covered the sun. Is has not been discovered what, or if, the beast calls itself. In captivity, it has only screamed and bellowed like a bull. Its heavy hooves are scuffed and encrusted with thick cakes of blood, black with age. The lifeblood of those who would clean those hooves has soaked into dense, black fur. Its mighty horns, though naked, seem draped with a banner of war.

This intrepid rat has received no formal combat training - the kind of people who aspire to labour on critical infrastructure are just built like this, dwarf or not.

Lore:
Ru˙ava from the Calm Owl-Jaws, was a well endowed elf woman with dark copper hair who grew up tending animals & picking flowers, eventually marrying a handsome elf and raising six children.
...But that was years ago...
All three marriages failed, with two divorces and her third husband falling in battle to the Humans of Reinedelbows.
Seeing his corpse struck her with Loss and Pain as she griefed over his body for days.
As days pass, she steels her griefing heart and became a spy to visit the Human towns.
The Humans talked about a Tournament and that many renowned Warriors will participate all over the Lands, while alot of Nobles will enjoy the spectactle.
But she will have to participate the tournament to keep her cover. And she needs a weapon.
And so she traveled back to the fetid battlefield and pulls out the Black Bronze Spear from of her dead Husbands body.
A great opportunity to make "Friends" and find the Murderer of her Husband from the Human Village "Reinedelbows", so that she can enact vengeance with the very weapon that ended the life of her beloved.



(I used Legends mode to dig around some elves and it's such a great way to get an inspiring backstory highly recommended)

BACKSTORY:
Kligus is from a once-large family of kobolds that has been swiftly dwindling in number, unable to keep up with the seemingly endless waves of cave crocodiles appearing in their home caverns. An expert dodger, Kligus has honed her ability to escape dangerous situations, but she still has a lot to learn about actually defending herself. Kligus does her best to train in the better-lit parts of the caves using the treasures she has found. Her favorite treasure is an obsidian short sword she recently spotted nestled in the moss on the deepest cavern floor, never questioning who it might have once belonged to (or why they were never able to return for it).
