Spoiler: Arril Votekka - 750M30 (click to show/hide)

Arril spends a decade working with Tizca’s scholars, as well as Alagar and his shipyard, on bringing the level of technology on Prospero up to something of his standard. All the moving parts and necessary interactions between multiple organizations strains his powers of coordination, but coming out of the decade, Arril feels much better about his ability to manage operations at a large scale. (+10 Coordination)

Although the greater project is finished, Tizca’s scholars don’t stop working with the larger populace, teaching them and bringing more into the higher echelons of learning.

+1 Hability

Spoiler: Arril Votekka - 760M30 (click to show/hide)

Arril then spends a decade learning ever greater methods by which to teach people. (+5 Teaching)

+1 Intelligence

Spoiler: Arril Votekka - 770M30 (click to show/hide)

Would be happy to take an event, but feel free to accept or decline based on your workload.

EVENT: The Stars Beyond
Ur The Caravan Master (EuchreJack)

Jericho, 750M30

Was he born on this planet or did he dropped by long ago, and forgot since? Ur could not tell, for so long he roamed Jericho.
Climbing the feudal social ladder, Ur found himself as the leader of a devoted order of a hundred-or-so knights, and even had a girl, blessed (or cursed?) with a long life, training her more or less willingly to new heights in close combat fight. And all the while, Ur yearned for more.

Upon a dark night, seeing the many stars shining ahead, he knew for what. He yearned for the sky above.
He had to leave the planet.

Yes, Jericho was a feudal world. Yes, barely any outsider were heard of. But these stories were not unheard of. Sometimes, a merchant clads in strange clothes would visit the local lord, asking for some specific ressource or exploiting a piece of land. More frequently, shaddy people, dubbed sorcerers as they could cause death from afar with a shining light, were found roaming in the countryside, or buying and selling exotic stuff. Finding a star dweller would not be easy, but neither would it be impossible.

Does Ur takes anyone with him, such as his daughter and his order? Did he looks for specific type of star dwellers?

EVENT: Rule of the Mighty
Aurelius Artifex (The Canadian Kitten)

Mancora, 770M30

The region where both the Kingdom of the Forge and of Pytherium were located was known for being isolated. That was even why Aurelius chose the place, to manage his project, before Pytherium, the mightiest of the petty kingdoms around, forcefully made its way into his ruler's life. And even then, it could still be autonomous in his realm. All in all, life was good.
Unfortunately, it could not stay this way forever, right?

Things started with a frenetical call for help from Pytherium. Despite Forge's troops being in the mere hundreds, they were still far superior in quality compare to other warriors around. Aurelius steadily made the trip to Pytherium's capital, finding it in a state of emergency, as scouts reported a handful of warriors coming from an hegemonic wanna-be empire on the frontier of Pytherium.
A dozen of them, causing such a panic.

But these were not mere humans. They were giant metallic skeletons.
Legends called them "Knights". If they were legends in Aurelius' region, they were very real here, in front of Pytherium's walls. Not only were they demanding tribute and submission to Pytherium, they were also asking how did he obtained such high quality equipment for his men. Thanks to your trusted bond with Pytherium, its king is looking to your advice first and foremost on how to deal with this ultimatum.

What is the response of Aurelius on this?

EVENT: The Black Tower
Aria Ironheart (Execute/Dumbo.exe) and Despecho (random_npc)

Procyon II, 770M30

Day after day, month after month, year after year, humanity was inevitably grinding back the ruined urban landscape of Procyon II. Eliminating the minions of whatever being (as it was more and more clear this was not a simple exotic disease) was an exhausting task, but something that could be managed by any group of skilled soldiers.
There was, however, a place that was still untouched by the human survivors led by Ironheart and Despecho. A tall, broken spire that was nicknamed the Black Tower. Oozing a disgusting rooting gas, with roting organic laying on its ground and walls, nobody was able to go far into it before being attacked by many zombies, or worse. Fewer were able to come back to tell what they saw.

The Black Tower was the heart of this disease. The Perpetuals were sure of that. There would be no reconquest of Procyon II without the reconquest of the Black Tower. So they gathered with their men, and prepared.

Do the Perpetuals take soldiers with them? If yes, how many? How do they organized to assault the spire?

Ur takes his daughter and a Squad of Knights (10).  I'm not picky on the star dweller.

Aurelius suggests the king of Pytherium seek to create a large enough alliance to counteract the knight users and have the Forge focus on providing equipment
and, send 1 competent craftsman and claim him to be the reason why this kingdom is so high-tech compared to others.

if the king is unable to find allies, Aurelius suggests submitting and have the Kingdom of the Forge work in secrecy to either replicate the knights, or create other weapons to destroy them

Spoiler: Aria Ironheart 770M30 (click to show/hide)

Aria will organize the Mercymen in full (around 200 soldiers) to assault the Spire, carrying enough explosives to do damage in critical areas and preparing the majority for a steady push through the spire, and a small team able to fit within her blank aura for a rapid infiltration, both waiting on Despancho's scrying efforts before attacking.

EVENT: The Stars Beyond
Ur The Caravan Master (EuchreJack)

Jericho, 750M30

Taking his daughter and a small squad of his knights, Ur began searching for a mean to leave Jericho. Going from legends to allegations, following rumors, he finally attracts the attention of one of those less trustable star travellers, ambushed on the street one evening. Despite your retinue being more skilled and numerous, the guns in their hands make it clear who has the upper hand. Their faces barely visible in the dark, they seem quite neglected in their dirty clothes.

"Heard you're searching for a mean to leave the planet," says one of them in the local tongue, with a thick accent. "Don't do that usually. Hope you're selling a worthy thing, or you can be useful for somethin' in exchange. Else, leave your dirty nose out of our business."

Does Ur offer anything, or agrees to work for the smugglers in exchange? Does he tries something else?

Spoiler: Rolls (click to show/hide)

Unfortunately, neighbors are too afraid of the invading kingdom (which, you found out later, is called the Vedari kingdom), and prefer to submit, leaving Pytherium no choice but to accept vassalisation as well.
You don't know how well your decoy crafter fare, but nonetheless used the hard-won time to launch some projects to prepare against those Knights machines.

But only a month later, two Knights are seen incoming towards the Kingdom of the Forge...

How does Aurelius reacts to the newcomers? Did he prepares any hostile reaction, or show submission instead?

EVENT: The Black Tower
Aria Ironheart (Execute/Dumbo.exe) and Despecho (random_npc)

Procyon II, 770M30

Followed by a retinue of 200 Mercymen, Aria and Despecho arrive near the Black Tower, ready for a full front assault against it.
While Aria leads the main force, Despecho decided to stay behind, focusing on scrying the tower in search of informations.

Spoiler: Rolls (click to show/hide)

Despecho discovers that the tower is so full of the corrupting power which caused the plague, that reality itself twitched inside the place. Her being a psyker, however, can help the assault force finding its way to the core.

Spoiler: Rolls (click to show/hide)

Thanks to Despecho's guiding, what could have been a horrific and cumbersome offensive, glued in the warped reality of the tower becomes a surgical strike at the heart of darkness in the highest floors of the tower. Although the Mercymen lose many good soldiers from the vicious warp traps, and the defensive daemons and plague zombies, they keep pushing higher, blowing flesh walls and babbling doors alike on their way. Leading the offensive, Aria proves a terrifying force, her decades-honed skill enhanced by her blank aura and anti-warp weaponry.

So swift and crushing is their victory that the decaying influence of the place seems to recede the further the striking force advances towards their goal. By the time they reach the so-called core of the plague, Aria only finds a pathetic black heart weakily beating, hanging between some rusty girders. She grabs it and smashes it without an inch of hesitation.

It is done.

"Fellow star travelers, you can see that I have some fine lads under my command, and we're positioned to expand wherever needed. I have some skills that might prove useful on a starship.  I'm looking to leave, but my daughter is quite capable of handling things while I am away. We have the numbers and the muscle, so you can take less risks for more profit. Would this be interesting to you?"

Aurelius and his army throw the knights a parade, showing off their most modern equipment to the knights. Try to get into talks with the knights without being dragged into whatever hellhole they came form.

EVENT: The Stars Beyond
Ur The Caravan Master (EuchreJack)

Jericho, 750M30

Spoiler: Rolls (click to show/hide)

Following Ur's offer, the smugglers start discussing on it in their foreign tongue. Thanks to his logokine power, Ur quickly understand they discuss whether accepting, refusing, betraying later or outright killing them on the spot. Thankfully, what looks like to be their leader decides, following a quite insulting stereotype on the honorable dullness of Jericho's inhabitants, to accept a honest deal.

Taking their new passengers on a day's worth of travel, Ur finally discovers his ticket to leaving Jericho. Cleverly hidden inside a grove, a small, rusty ship whose name can be still read on its damaged golden letters: Sound Investment. Once arrived, the leader quickly explains Ur's new job.

The deal in question would be to act as expensive bodyguards to the smugglers when this matter. While this activity is by far and large in the skills of Ur and his men, the morality of it would be sometimes at best questionable. Thankfully, honor never was a criteria for the Melee Masters to join Ur's Order. And now, the stars were opened to him...

End of the event

Spoiler: Rewards (click to show/hide)

EVENT: Rule of the Mighty
Aurelius Artifex (The Canadian Kitten)

Mancora, 770M30

Upon arrival, the Knights are welcomed by a parade showing the most finest equipment the Forge as produced recently, to either seduce, impress or cow the visitors.

Whatever was the intent, one of the Knight kneels once the parade has ended, allowing its pilot, a woman clads in a strange thin armor. She looks quite excited as she observe the stuff presented in the parade, and offers you a smile.
"So they were true... You have a Smith Master here..."
After clarifying you were the one responsible of these creations, her excitation becomes tinged with awe.
"We... Ahem, the Queen of Vedari hereby invites the Smith Master in her kingdom, to work in her armory. Should he help the kingdom, his reward should be... considerable."

The woman anxiously waits for Aurelius' answer, what would be a funny situation considering she pilots a massive metalic warrior, if only Aurelius was not the one who had to answer.

Does Aurelius accepts the invitation? If yes, does he put any conditions on his help?
