Think elves, it will have [FOREST_SETTLEMENTS] and [INTELLIGENT], so it talks and names trees, most of the remaining brain is basically cat, think the elven arrogance towards dwarfs AND the cat independence and arrogance towards everything, for reasons that will later become obvious from a biological perspective the species will be heavily female dominated, so the society is amazon-like but more relaxed but still being independent and warlike, as is the real world creature I base them on, I imagine it fighting mush like a cat, a elephant-sized poisonous cat... a FLYING elephant-sized poisonous cat.

Amazon poisonous tree-naming griffins? I don't think so.

I'm not gonna tell you what it is, but its reeeeally unique and just fits perfectly with the DF setting, for its exact nature; you will see, YESZSS, YOUUU will SEEEE...

Edit: by amazon I mean the female warriors of Greek mythology, not the forest.

Thats the hard part; balancing it, but the basic properties of this makes it somewhat naturally and ingeniously balanced, although it IS in the upper end of the scale.

Edit: Now that we have one, shouldn't we move this thread to the moding forum?
