Su Lin
'Early to bed and early to rise, makes a man healthy, wealthy, and wise.'

Not a whole lot of lucid contemplation really goes on while you are asleep. Guess Su Lin will have to settle for non-lucid contemplation.

Action 1: Sleep
Action 2: Dream
Action 3: Snore

Velklin
:■■ ▪▪▪▪▪ ▪▪▪▪▪
:■■ ▪▪▪▪▪ ▪▪▪▪▪ □□

Velklin rolls onto his side and curls up, continuing to sleep. Instead of his usually recurring dreams - unbearably saccharine as they are - Velklin dreams about the usage of [Telekinesis], his mind still trying to figure it out, even in his sleep. An ability so tantalizingly close now, one he's wanted for a while now. For Velklin, who is used to uber-soft luxurious space-tech beds and cushions, the uncomfortable makeshift bedding he is sleeping on right now probably acting as the strongest catalyst for such dreams.

Action Recap
Action 1: Curl up.
Action 2: Sleep.
Action 4: Dream about [Telekinesis].

"This is clearly where we meet the horrible defender of the obelisk.  Or fortress."

"I'll try to get to the prize."

Proceed behind Burt, towards the glowy place.  If something comes out, ignore it.  Just try to move past it, looking for an obelisk.
As before, try to keep my mind clear.  If there is a defender, I don't know how it'll sense intruders.
Whatever happens, keep moving.

As the rest of the crew onboard slept, Isabam tried yanking yet another length of pipe from the walls.

Code: [Select]
Isabam Butsha pulls a pipe away: 5+2=7
But the pipe doesn't gives way. She doesn't tries again, content with the one she already had with her, placed on space suits belt. She then realised her exhaustion also. It was a strange thing for a being like her to require sleep. But it simply was tue way it was. So she laid onto the smooth metal with a quiet clank, without complaint, and in just a moment, she was asleep like the others.

The ship was completely quiet after that. Almost everyone was asleep, except Fln. Fln? Who was Fln? There was no such person as Fln inside the ship at all. Except an automated crew listing. The Narrator refreshes the list, and the anomaly resolves into nothingness.

Anyways, everyone in the ship was asleep at the moment. Until Su Lin started snoring.

The newfound sounds stirred Velklin in his sleep, not enough for him to wake up, but enough for him to wish it would cease. The deer child rolls off the box bed and into the metal. In that moment, his discomfort reaches its maximum, and for a moment he misses the rough cardboard. So he tries moving himself back onto it.

Code: [Select]
Velklin uses Telekinesis to move himself to his bed: 17
And he manages to slowly lift himself back onto the bed, hitting Su Lin's back and stopping his snoring in the process.

Meanwhile, the unlikely duo down in the dungeon entrance -yes, that's what it was all along- float into the glowy corridor. with the beetle god in tow. Lemmy intentionally lets Burtnlead the way.

After traversing the corridor, they find themselves inside a large square room with three other pathways identical to the one they just passed through, each situated on a different wall.

Lemmy puts his feet onto the ground to reorient himself. Something shifts in the air. A loud rumble is heard, followed by ice crackling. Soon they are not floating at all, and can feel a familiar amount of gravity holding them down.

Lemmy successfully camuflages himself.

Code: [Select]
Lemmy clears his mind: 19
But Burt doesn't.

The rumbles turn into a loud shriek, and they see two small figures emerge from the ground. Two abnormally large skinks, made of clear ice stands in their path.

They stand still, then pounce at the duo. They seem to lack any significant offensive capabilities, but they are very vicious anyways. At least they try to.

The duo readies themselves as the battle starts.

Code: [Select]

BATTLE OVER

The shattered remains of the two apparitions lay before you, and you notice the increase in the ambient red glow. Then, something shrieks. This is no ice moving, but an animalistic expression of spite.

The ground shakes again, and four more of the ice skinks start emerging. They may very well be limitless.

Maybe you should just proceed onwards despite them?

"Well, these things seem pretty weak.

You want to split up?  I think only one of us needs to get through."

Re-hide myself mentally.
Help Burt clear his mind.
Sneak down the middle path.

Combat strategy is to avoid combat.  Just try to let them pass by or to pass by them.  These things might be magic or something, maybe they don't see the same way.
If I am forced to fight, just run, forwards or backwards.

Su Lin
'The vastness of space reminds us that our problems are small in comparison, and our potential is infinite.'

Having heard the narrator explaining what everyone is doing, Su Lin learned that some of his allies had got into a fight. Without a space suit, Su Lin couldn't really do much about it. Also, Lemmy apparantly swiped Ornos from Su Lin's head while he was meditating; which gives Su Lin an idea or two...

Su Lin also has a suggestion for Velklin. If they can grant minor wishes, perhaps they could use that ability to procure some heavenly treasure, cultivation technique, training facilities or otherwise use it to bolster our abilities?

Action 1: Su Lin casts Soothing Song, enabling Ornos to help Lemmy and Burt.
Action 2: Su Lin suggests for the group to use one of their actions to Believe in Ornos.
Action 3: Su Lin cycles his Qi in an attempt to improve his Mana stat

"Fragile little lizards, spiting up sounds good it'll make finding this thing faster."
Go down the right path.
Try to grab one of the lizards.
If I can grab a lizard try to tame it.

Velklin
:■■ ▪▪▪▪▪ ▪▪▪▪▪
:■■■■ ▪▪▪▪▪ ▪▪▪▪▪

Roused by Su Lin's talking next to him, Velklin awakens with a great big yawn, then responding with "Huh...? What about the wish spell? Umm... yeah i think it can do that... just find me a--" stopping abruptly mid way and cutting off whatever he was going to say next, as his eyes shoot wide open upon hearing Su Lin mutter something about using Ornos to help Burt and Lemmy in combat.
γ:● ● ● ● ○ ○ ○ ○ ○ ○
Visibly trembling somewhat, Velkin exclaims "What do you mean?! They're in combat?!"
Speaking over radio, Velklin scolds the two: "Come on, guys! I offered you some backup. I saw this coming a mile away! Why'd you not take it?! ...Well, i'd better do it now then."

Switching off of radio, Velklin commands the ship's AI, "AI! Park the ship over that entrance!", before quickly switching back. "Hold on, guys, i'm sending you some backup (Use 40 mana to cast [Conjure Crystalline] four times. These ones will be sticking around.). and I'm coming, too! Now it's time to put that Telekinesis practice... Umm... to the practice."

Action Recap
Action 1: Order ship to park over entrance hole to dungeon.
Action 2: Use 40 mana to summon four Crystalline Golems with no expiration and have them follow me. "I think i'll name you guys... Steve, Stevie, Steven and Steve-o."
Action 3: Use Telekinesis to quickly descend down the hole with the summoned golems in tow. "Hypothesis, theory... practice. Come on... I can do this..."
Combat Strategy: Full defensive, stay in the back, conserve mana.

(Some stuff, since we've now had our first bout of combat:
Considering combat is largely automatic, how will casting in combat work? Since Velklin largely relies on smart use of his spells in such situations.
And now is probably a good time to talk about Velklin's character, and his greatest weakness, aside from his (ironically) limited mana pool. It was in the original, unmodified version of his character sheet, and it's staying, since i want it to be a core element of his character: Velklin (as written) is hypersensitive to pain. Taking a hit, any hit, should make him skip a combat turn, possibly multiple, if the hit is big enough. As an offset, every such turn should regenerate some Mana. And no, Velklin very much does not like being hurt...
Of course, you should run everything how you think is best.)
