Following the journey through the prairie and then through the mountains, with the sun setting to the side and sky darkening, the quartet finds no signs of human presence before them.

Whilst there was some random trash in some places, like a broken bottle here, or discarded cloth there, all was covered in dust of weeks or mayhaps months worth of time. There was nothing else. No hoof-prints, or foot-prints, no remnant campsites, nothing.

The Trowel Brothers are definitely not here.

Well then, I were wonderin' if we shoulda look to the Mountains further East, but we ain't seen hide not hair of anythin'.

Let's head Nor-West, 'round the forest and then West towards them Mountains a couple days Westerly.

"Ayup," Pat says, patting his paunch under his poncho, as he finishes off some trail rations. The deputies walk on to E8, via the plains.

Following another hunch they had, the deputies crossed the prairie further west and then moved onto the mountains west.

Soon as the morning break and they continue they search, a few hundred meters forward, they spot a small, crude shack built against the side of a hill. A wisp of smoke is rising from a small fireplace, a small cooking pot hanging on a chain over a tripod of large sticks. A lone horse, with saddle and bags on it, is tied to a lone post, few meters to the left-side of the shack.

A lone, tall man in a duster and black hat is stirring in the pot with some long spoon. The door to the shack is open, but it is too dark inside to see anything from this far away, and it has no windows to look through either.

The man is too absorbed with cooking his meal to spot the deputies from this far away.

Pat "the Ghost" Gibbet knows these guys are wanted dead. There's only one way this ends. He quietly waves his companions to get into cover, levels his Coyote gun, takes aim and shoots the tall man!

Whilst the other deputies level their weapons, Miguel approaches the man.

TURN 1

When the bullet is shot (at a wide missing line) and the word is shouted (at a startingly high pitch), the man at the cauldron ducks and yells. Another in similar duster and matching black hat runs out of the shack, his gun held high! His cauldron-tending companion draws a gun and they both run for cover of the nearby rocks!

The deputies ought to do the same and find cover! Or maybe they try their luck shooting right away?
