Pat "the Ghost" Gibbet sidles over to the train station lady.

"I have two enquiries for you ma'am," he says pointing to his deputy badge. "Firstly, how much are train tickets in these parts... and second, have the two brothers, name of Trowel, come through this station? Ian and Michael, quick sons of a miner, perhaps you know of 'em?"

While he's there, Pat asks about the cost of a train to Irontown. Just in case they need to go later (or come back from there). Afterwards, he'll go find the others.

But, otherwise, he was a pleasant fellow, well, if not for those eyes of his. They looked big and all-seeing, like eyes of an owl. What kinda man has eyes like this, really?"

"Thank you ma'am. That's a right bit right there."

With this is can be guessed that they wouldn't be near the deserts. Still not guaranteed they'd skirt it, but most like they hole'd up in the mountains west near the river. The General Store might have a bit of info on what provisions they'd bought.

Day's getting away from us. Pat goes to meet with the others. On collating the information they had gathered, he says, "We got a couple of quick-eyed, fleet-footed boys. Now they either went South-South-Westerly to the hills down there, or South-West-Westerly to the mountains overlooking the great river. What says y'all?"

"We could try one then the other, or split up...?"

Jackson smiles his best smile, then shakes his head.

"Sorry, ma'am, but I prefer to keep my head clear until after the job's done. Anyhow, you see me again, I'll be good to my word."

With that, Jackson strolls out and meets up with Pat.

"Well, my first thought is to split up into two groups - though that might not be the best idea in case one of the groups bites it.

If we all wanna stay as a team, we could try South-South-Westerly first. Shorter distance than South-West-Westerly."

"If we're of accord, let's leave town heading south-west," Pat says, checking over his provisions and getting ready for the trek...
