[Steam] Instruments
« on: February 15, 2023, 06:10:21 pm »

I'm trying to provide my dwarves with a bit of entertainment by assembling (at the craft-dwarf's) some musical instruments. However all but one of them require "exotic" components I can not place (a number of components are found in the craft-dwarf's  workshop and some are at the stoneworker's/carpenter's, but not these bad boys.) is there any way to know the whole list of components and their desired workshops?

The wiki is helpful in the sense that it gives a list of the different parts and material necessary to assemble the instruments, but since the names of the instrument will vary from game to game it is for you to find which is which.

Apart from those made at the carpenter's, the stoneworker's and the craft workshop, you would also need to check the metalsmith, the leatherwork, the kiln and the glass furnace for making other parts.

I find this particularly helpful: "Clicking the button to create a new work order and typing the name of the instrument in the search box will show all the pieces required (possibly from other workshops)."

Edit: nevermind, figured it out: you have to go to the Work Order screen, not just the create order button in a workshop.
